Family Seeks Help Locating Missing Man Who May Be in Humboldt Area

Tracy John Clayton, 36, was last seen on February 26, 2025, in Van Nuys, California. His family is asking the public to share his missing person flyer and help spread awareness as they search for answers. Clayton may be driving a green Volkswagen SUV with California registration 8YPV226.

Tracy is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He has a scar in the middle of his forehead and another on his right lip. He also has a red beard.

He is known to use Planet Fitness gyms in the Van Nuys and Sylmar areas. According to a public post shared by his family, his membership was used at the Eureka, California location, though it is not confirmed if it was him.

Tracy typically works with his father every spring in Garberville but did not show up this year, which the family says is out of character. Loved ones say he is dearly missed and that he has not contacted family despite significant events, including his mother’s birthday and Mother’s Day.

Information from the family states that Tracy is “dearly loved and we are worried about him.” It also mentions that his aunt has a serious heart condition and emphasizes that this disappearance is not typical behavior for him.
