Suspected MET Activity Reported in Southern Humboldt
A convoy of seven Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office vehicles was seen traveling south on Highway 101 near Redcrest just after 8 a.m. this morning, a source told Redheaded Blackbelt. No other citizen sightings were reported until shortly after 4 p.m., when another source observed several sheriff pickups—including one towing equipment resembling a small Bobcat—pulling into a residential area near Fir Street in Benbow, just south of Garberville.
This apparent enforcement action follows a series of reports in recent days suggesting possible coordinated efforts targeting illegal cannabis operations in the region.

On June 3, a source reported seeing a convoy in the Elk Ridge/Dyerville Loop Road area east of Myers Flat. Though Lieutenant Jesse Taylor confirmed MET activity in Southern Humboldt, no additional details were provided. On June 11, a helicopter registered to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office, which has been involved in Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) operations in Humboldt County in the past, was tracked via Flightradar24. The helicopter’s flight originated out of Red Bluff and was seen flying over Southern Humboldt, and one source reported the helicopter circling over a permitted cannabis farm in the Dyerville Loop area. Portions of the aircraft’s path were not available, likely due to low-altitude flight that escapes radar coverage.

The Butte County Sheriff’s Office and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office are both members of the NorCal Coalition, a group focused on combating illegal cannabis cultivation and human trafficking. The coalition shared a post on June 5, two days after the report of the MET action in Southern Humboldt, stating:
“The Norcal Coalition is on the ground investigating illegal cannabis operations and meeting directly with potential trafficking victims. Our team — including law enforcement and victim advocates — works together to identify criminal activity, support victims, and protect our communities.”
At the time of publication, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has not responded to a request for comment about the reported activity in Southern Humboldt or the coordination with NorCal Coalition or the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.

Um…so you guys do know the Sheriff has been busting people with the five county coalition for a while now. Last year they got a a lot of funding as well Mainly working in counties that did not legalize cannabis. Their focus was on “Human trafficking” but more than likely also are working with ICE now. Ooooh, the Norcal Coalition! (sounds like a logging company!) Now I understand why I see Butte County once in awhile.. sometimes they fly with the ADSB shut off (which makes one very suspicious), but even a “PJs Helicopter Rental” gives the game away. I’ve found on Flight Radar 24 the military usually defines the service but leaves off destination info…but if it’s Fairfield you know it’s Travis AFB…no refueling tankers lately cause they sent em all to support “Operation Big Boom” as I call it.
Now if the tankers stay in Guam, etc they’re standing by in case further action is “needed”…. let’s hope not!
