This morning, Saturday, April 26, deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of Murray Road in McKinleyville as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. According to HCSO Lt. Jesse Taylor, 15 individuals were detained at the property.
“Deputies…are serving a search warrant in response to an ongoing narcotics investigation and we currently have 15 subjects detained,” Taylor wrote in an email response to our questions.
Lt. Taylor also noted that this morning’s action took place at the same location that was previously searched earlier this year. We reported on the January raid also where deputies arrested two individuals at the residence following community complaints about suspected drug activity. During that operation, deputies reportedly found methamphetamine, fentanyl, and a firearm.
“This is the same residence that…we investigated [in January] and apparently they didn’t get the message,” Lt. Taylor told us. “This is a great example of HCSO’s response to problem oriented policing and we will continue to proactively pursue criminal behavior.”

“Party down dudes — the cops ‘ll never think to search us again!!”
You just can’t fix Stupid
I counted 14 sheriff vehicles, including the two trucks and ones in the Renner parking lot across the street. This was at 9am this morning on my way to drop off my son to a rainy baseball game warm up. Wettest ball game I’ve witnessed in 10 years of my kids playing ball. The second game of scheduled double header against del Norte canceled
Was Brett involved?
Nothing like Humboldt baseball!
so the first arrests did not count at the DA office?
Seems the address could be condemned because of drug/health-related infractions and auctioned off. There are nice business/industrial/ag zones in that area. The neighbors can’t be pleased with all this.
Upon entering the residence, deputies knew not to turn the lights on because the occupants would all run back underneath the refrigerator.
Strong reason to bring back the Paddy wagon
Year after year after year, the scuz steadily grows and grows and grows in seemingly innocent McKinleyville. Perpetual rot.
That property is associated with the cluster of homeless camps across from the Bigfoot station and a storage unit on Central Ave. Probably why so many arrestees.
Get a rope.
No one has ever got the message in Humboldt. I’ve always been amazed at dudes getting pinched at grows or drug dens and then 3 months later again here they are 3000 more plants and a firearm.
Or 4000 more blue pills and a Glock. Round and round we go. Where it stops no one know one knows.
Yep, no one knows. And some got a feeling says we can’t afford to be standing around waiting.
Car for each low-life! They all had their own driver…so cool!
Neighbor said they were back and BBQing this evening…gez!
And didn’t we hear Police Chief’s and Sheriff and all the moaning and begging for MORE money and vehicles and equipment and 16 police vehicles with who knows how many personnel Some with OVERTIME.WTF!!!! When is TOO much to MUCH?? And we pay for them and they can’t Protect the Pubic! They only respond after a Crime has been committed, Yes they stop DUI’s and drunk people. And harassing growers and homeless people, But mostly crimes that have called in to 911 or cellphone or a phone. They don’t prevent murders or home invasions, or vehicle theft and lots of people crimes. They prevent little. But they do have very large budgets, And their budgets inflates at a rapid rate.
a great example……? How many years have they been dealing drugs out of this house to our local community? How many years of complaints? And you want to pat yourselves on the back for finally showing up how many years later? Pulled out 15, none of which are in jail today. And I’d bet $1k that any one of us could go buy drugs out of that same house right this minute.
Thanks to the HCSO for this. Hopefully the other fenty dealers take notice of the massive leo response to this and maybe think twice about setting up shop here in Humboldt.
If only LEO would have multi tasked and also visited the known distributors around the corner on Fernwood and Alder. Sigh, I’ll guess the hood will have to wait, all the while we will keep paying our ever increasing taxes thanks to the bond measures for increased $$ needed for law enforcement.
