They handcuff individuals for the PO’s safety while conducting an investigation whether they eventually arrest them or not.

Reminder: all persons are to be considered innocent until convicted by a court of law.

I thought it was guilty until proven innocent. Maybe I’ve been wrong

Yeah, ’cause the cops never raided problem properties before then.

Your always innocent until proven otherwise in court, although you may not look very innocent handcuffed in a cell awaiting trial.

You sir are directing your negative attention toward me.
If you have something you want to relate this is not acceptable and you should direct your negative attention elsewhere.

Without passing judgment on this specific situation…..
thought it was no longer ok to post booking photos of folks ACCUSED BUT NOT CONVICTED OF A CRIME…
Why then is it ok to post photos of people DETAINED AND POSSIBLY NOT CHARGED WITH ANY CRIME?
Is it not still impugning the character of a person-possibly incorrectly and unjustifiably?

If a government entity decides that posting booking photos is problematic, it doesn’t bar either the public or the press from doing it at their own discretion. This limit on law enforcement only was due to California AB 1475.
Even then, if anyone wants to publish it, the police rovide it.”The public right to request booking photos remains unaffected by AB 1475. The Public Safety Committee analysis on AB 1475 concluded that “this bill does not disturb the public right to request and access mug shots, nor does it limit a police agencies’ ability to disclose such documents to the public under the Public Records Act [PRA].”

They’re not booking photos. They’re from the public right of way.

You obviously never had a booking photo. The most embarrassing process, especially when innocent of a crime!

The humiliation is tough but the public has a right to see the faces of those wanted for crimes in the community.

Getting a vigorous questioning in the middle of a perm isn’t a crime. I hope the officer let him rinse on time!

Just like paparazzi. Place open to the public is fair game.

Logic and reading comprehension can be very challenging!

These are NOT booking photos!

The pics and videos were taken by “a witness” and “a passerby” – there is no prohibition on people taking pics or video in public places like streets and sidewalks.

PS: AB 1475 limited posting mug shots to social media but not to a law enforcement website – and there was no penalty for violations – mugshots were routinely posted until the 9th circuit issued a ruling opposed to doing so.

How sad that this agency gets exposure to on patrol live, and they have the least amount of exposure compared to all other agencies on that show. They all seem to have LDS (Lazy Deputy Syndrome)

that property is low income housing owned by the Redwood Community Action Agency. I’m not making a judgment on RCAA or low-income housing – just an observation. Draw your own conclusions.

Really? It’s been the site of another major bust before. I’m gonna check the county for ownership. Hard to believe RCAA owns this. It’s always full of trash, weird dudes coming and going….

That property is backed up against a cluster of homeless camps, I’ve personally seen vehicles being ground guided out of it’s gated driveway by addicts keeping lookout. Obviously a drug compound..

Think it will get cleaned up? Or just a couple token arrests, immediate release with orders to appear, no appearing, warrants issued, suspects never re-arreated, drug den shit hole continues, hard drugs available to high school kids always and no change not ever thank you Misplaced Compassion people?

Judging by the amount of crap piled up at camps and carted around, stores and homes must be getting raided by the hour.

I’m sure that any persons of interest had already exited down their planned escape route even before the sheriffs got out of their vehicles, leaving the minions holding the bag for the LEO’s to take away.

I just want to tell you that the person who owns that property is one of the most kindist most selfless persons I’ve ever met my own entire life.. he’s done nothing but help people around him constantly even people he dislikes I’ve never seen him ever lift a hand to hurt anyone all I see is absolute generosity from this person it’s a shame that you guys actually take second hand knowledge from people without seeing it for yourselves.. Aaron really is a selfless good person with a heart of gold he may be caught up with the rejects of our community often over extending himself to the point of craziness but he truly is someone that any person would love to have on their side…..judge not that yea shall not be judged…..ù
