Harmony Noel Sellers 05/09/1971 – 12/06/2024
Harmony was born in the Garberville hospital.
She was always very multi talented, Beginning in childhood, she excelled in ballet, horseback riding, flute, and Art!
She was highly social, always surrounded by friends.
Throughout her life, she pursued a variety of passions, beginning in high school, she acted star roles in several plays. She directed and acted in her mother’s western, filmed on an Arabian horse ranch on the central coast of California. She attended college for a couple years as an art major and managed a deli at the San Luis Obispo Airport, where she met (delivering bagels), Richard Cartier, her partner and father of her only child, “Nicholas Cartier.” Comming from a multiple generational bagel business family, Richard taught Harmony how to make bagels, at night, after her work. There they began planning their future business together.
They moved back to Harmonys home town of Redway and started a wholesale business, funded by Harmonys inheritance from her grandfather’s (Sellers) estate. Calling it “Bagels Naturally “.
After surviving the oven exploding, blowing out the entire building, they both survived and went on to welcome Their son, Nicholas Was born prematurely After a difficult pregnancy that required Harmony to be hospitalized in San Francisco for over a month. Despite weighing only four pounds at birth, he was pure love and joy, bringing immense happiness to Harmony, Richard and his grandmother (Ohma), and his uncle Korey Sellers.
A year later, their retail and wholesale business reopened in downtown Garberville . The new business was a huge undertaking and success at their new location .
They offered everything Organic A dozen varieties of bagels and cream chesse flavors, smoothies, juice bar, Espressos, sandwiches, soups, salads, pastries, herbs, and wheat grass. Everything Organic! After several years, due to large overhead costs and lack of interest in organic delights from locals, Harmony faced profound challenges. She and Richard had already separated leaving her to run it alone. Realizing her hard work, investment and her passion was under appreciated because they had chosen the wrong location, wanting to give back to her home community.
When it ultimately closed down, she mourned her loss but continued striving to support her toddler Son and herself.
She took on various jobs, beginning with teaching art at her Sons school. Then onto car repair, which she began at a young age, then adding drywall and painting.
Later she began cargiving, starting with her mother who needed a hip replacement. She spent her last few years as a caregiver for many, touching their lives with her kindness and compassion. Everyone she worked for would remark to her mother, on her Sweetness and her warmth.
Harmony passed away after an extensive hospital stay. She was sent home in recovery but passed just eight days later in the home of a dear friend and client in Hydsville, CA.
Harmony will be missed by many, as she was a constant light in an uncertain world.

She was a very nice hostess and created possibilities for creative activity when Bagels Naturally had a weekly open mic. Thanks, that was fun. (Now there’s an open mic once a month at Innerbloom, formally Organic Grace, next one March 21, Friday at 6pm.)
