Overturned Sedan Blocks Lane on Highway 101 Near Loleta
Emergency personnel are responding to a traffic collision on Highway 101 near Loleta this morning. Around 8:30 a.m. emergency dispatch received reports of a red sedan overturned and partially blocking the #3 lane of southbound Highway 101 between the Loleta and Hookton Road exits on what is known as Loleta Hill.
Initial reports indicate the two-door sedan spun out and hit the embankment, overturning. According to scanner traffic, a single occupant was in the vehicle attempting to exit the vehicle but unable to do so at that time. Subsequent scanner traffic indicated the driver was able to self-extricate.
The vehicle was pushed to the shoulder of the highway according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information page.
A tow truck and ambulance are continuing to the scene.

IMHO: Raining hard… water on the roadway… hydroplane… slow down !
I was heading north and saw this – they were nearly at the top of Singly Hill, so no water on roadway. It wasn’t even raining that hard at that time.
it says they spun out, but i seen lots of folks play chicken as that hill climbing lane ends in that bend on top of the grade.
they hydroplaned no speed or anything had facts in this accident get ur facts right

Yeah, but if you suggest slowing down in wet, or otherwise inclement weather, it’s a bummer. The party cannot stop or even slow down.
