Rain Is Raining Here…

Rain has returned to Southern Humboldt, starting precisely at 10 p.m. tonight, much like the earlier forecasts predicted—even though the more recent ones had us waiting until tomorrow morning. After nearly a month of sunshine, the gentle patter of raindrops feels like a refreshing change, a much-needed drink for the Earth.

Here at Redheaded Blackbelt’s home base, just west of Miranda, our unofficial precipitation total for the season is nearing 58 inches, with January adding 4.45 inches to the tally so far. Here’s to the life-giving rain that nourishes our forests and rivers—welcome back, old friend!

Are you getting rain yet? Let us know what corner of the area you hang your umbrella and when the rain started where you are.

Wow, this AI thing is really moving ahead. An entire county thinks it’s raining, when in fact, two democrat governors have assured us we’re in a “perpetual drought”.

Not sure what you mean sir, Southern California is in a drought by statistical data ..Many issues require *reading comprehension ,a skill most American people lack.

Both of those statements, both by democrat governors, made no regional distinction. I don’t think you can find many meteorologists, not a so-called “climate scientist”‘ who would attach the word “perpetual” to any weather event. Why, because it’s a statement to promote the phony global warming nonsense. Yeah, that was the call, not climate change, an event that actually is perpetual (think little ice age, and medieval warming era). The good news: the warrior Donald Trump has defunded the climate bullshitters. It was always about the money.
