Well that was an oxymoron. Pastor IS a business man. Biggest money maker on the planet.
Religion =money=power.

I’m probably the least religious person alive, so I’m likely a better judge of character than most. I can tell you that Lance was a good and decent man. I’ve listened to a few eulogies that he has done and I was impressed by his intelligence and sensitivity. And, sense of humor.

Hear Hear Ernie! Lance was a good man and as you and I both know the business was not the church that was his passion. He also cared about his community and from everything I know he was a fair man when selling Nice Used Cars to people. Godspeed Lance I appreciated our rapport. Prayers and love to his wife and Tami and Andy in this difficult time

I agree. Thanks for correcting that, Ernie.

How much truth do you speak with facts, not words

I don’t allow the same freedom in the obit section as I do the rest of the site. I’d have taken this down but Ernie responded and that would delete his comment.

But I’m going to say here that someone attacking a dead person anonymously maybe shouldn’t make assumptions about someone they obviously didn’t know.

I’ve lived in Humboldt my whole life except when I went away to college and I can’t think of one bad thing I’ve heard about Lance.

kym, That says a lot in my book about this man. I most certainly cannot say that about myself.
May God bless and comfort his family and all that knew and loved him ?✝️.

I was hoping that Humboldt’s comment was generic and not about Lance. Still, a poorly placed comment.

Lance sold my first husband and me a car back in the late ’80s or ’90s. Honest, straight-ahead guy. If i remember correctly, he had a funny habit of signing his name backwards! But it didn’t negate the value of his signature– like his word. (Maybe i have the wrong guy here, but pretty sure it was Lance.)

Lance was a model father and husband. Have known his family over 40 years. Had a great soft sense of humor. Always a smile with a handshake. Our community lost a good man. Condolences to his wife and 3 kids. Rest assured you know where his journey ends.
