CR Holding Annual Transfer Student Day Event September 24th

This is a press release from College of the Redwoods:

College of the Redwoods CR Logo IconAdmissions counselors from various universities and colleges will be at the College of the Redwoods in Eureka for Transfer Student Day on Tuesday, September 24th. The event will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Learning Resource Center. Admissions counselors from California State University, University of California, private, and out-of-state schools will be in attendance.

This event allows students to meet directly with college officials to receive information and map out their transfer to different universities and programs. Students can use the event to logistically understand the steps of transfer or establish a personal plan to receive a bachelor’s degree. Transfer Student Day is a commitment-free, drop-in event open to all College of the Redwoods students and community members interested in learning more about transferring to another college after attending CR can fit into their educational goals.

This year’s Transfer Student Day participants will include the following university campuses:

  • California State Universities: Cal Poly Humboldt, Sacramento State University, Sonoma State University
  • Universities of California: UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz
  • Out of State and Private Universities: Grand Canyon University, San Francisco Bay University, Simpson University, Southern Oregon University, Pacific Union College

CR needs to hire a professional Dean of Community Communication. This is an exciting event and should be described as such. Good lord, the universe is opening up for these kids!

I agree with your comment 100%! With more and more students hitting our Junior College I think that position is extremely important.
