Wow. If it comes without lightning, I would enjoy a drizzly day.

Unfortunately, the long range Euro and USA forecasts call for potential lightning ahead of the low pressure area. Half an inch of rain will do good though !

Yes please,wet with no lightning.?
Especially over the fires.

Everything can use some cool damp weather, anyone else noticing the critters being more voracious right now? Bear deer fox raccoon…all seem like theyre stockin up for winter already.

Usually we get that day or more of rain in September, every Earthdance festival had a nite of rain if Im remembering correctly

I noticed some Poison Oak with leaves turned bright red already — signs of early Autumn/Winter?

I’ve been seeing them turning red without having made any or many-if-any berries yet.

Lots of oak trees starting to turn color here also. Squirrels have been very busy around here.

Be extra careful and remember how slick the roads are during the first rain.

Hate to break it to you, but the globe is much bigger than our little region.
Globally, this past June was the hottest June ever recorded.
July was not only the hottest July ever recorded, but it was the hottest month ever recorded.
And 2024 is well on track to be the hottest year on record.
Again, globally- but not necessarily locally.

The Hunga Tonga volcano blew 58,000 Olympic-size swimming pools of salt water into the atmosphere.

Political Science advocates will never listen. The agenda isn’t Science or they would accept Science is never settled, It is a prerequisite for every Scientist. You might as well be pissing down your own leg into your Whites boots. Your views are not welcome in their Ring grabber world and will lead you straight into the Soylent Green shredder for being a rebel.

Do you know we burn 97 million BARRELS of oil every DAY on this planet. I wonder how many Olympic swimming pools that is? It’s good to know these things, whether we want to do anything about it or not.

I notice at the end of that article:

the huge amounts of water vapor from the eruption may have a small, temporary warming effect, since water vapor traps heat. The effect would dissipate when the extra water vapor cycles out of the stratosphere and would not be enough to noticeably exacerbate climate change effects.

During the medieval warm period, from 950-1250ad, the climate was much warmer. That period allowed Greenland to be colonized and successfully farmed, it was warm enough to grow grapes in Greenland. This was followed by the Little Ice Age. Point is, the earth has been much warmer and much colder, also, the ice caps are remnants of the last ice age, we are still in one, just naturally on our way out, in fact, on a 10,000 year timeline we are much colder than the earth is supposed to be. Don’t even start on carbon dioxide, that wonderful gas that makes plants grow.

Arguing against human-caused climate change is like arguing that the Earth is flat.
You’re 100% within your rights to do it, but you’re still wrong.
