Is the green belt a bum belt?
It is now !
Could you please provide a link to the free campground or the free housing that allows families and does not kick people out every morning?
Because, unless people are steered towards these facilities, the green-belt will continue to serve as the only available option for many people.
You can always put out your address and let them camp there.
It has been well documented they don’t want help with housing. They want handouts to keep their drug supply. That’s the only reason they trespass and destroy private property. Sometimes it sucks, but they have made their choices.
Families? If there are any kids in homeless camps the parents should be investigated for child abuse.
90%+ of the chronically unhoused are drug addicts, alcoholics or mentally ill.
We’ve agree before that little is likely to change unless we get to a point where ill people who refuse treatment can be confined.
And the last place any of them should be is in a green belt or other natural area, especially near streams or wetlands.
It is slowly turning into a scum belt for sure. I am just happy that the damn propane cylinder(s) that blew up did not injure a firefighter or someone else. The City of Eureka needs to put a stop to these camps. The restaurant owner asked for help several weeks ago and nothing was done. Who keeps dropping the ball?
Those small cylinders really pop.
That camp has been there a while.
Yep, saw him going in with a really nice bike.
