Storm passing over Humboldt and Trinity County.[Image from Alert California]
An air attack on its way to look at a reported fire, the #HorseFire southeast of Ruth Lake on Horse Ridge spotted the #HillFire. However, those are not the only fires spotted since the lightning storm. The air attack is also reporting two fires, the #GreyFire that are single trees on fire off Hennessy Road–so far that’s four reported fires following the lightning storm.

FlightRadar shows the path of the air attack as it looks at the Hill Fire which is southeast of Ruth Lake and the Horse Fire which is south of Willow Creek

I’ve heard there’s at least 4, maybe 5 fires. 1 is up past Grouse Mt. on the South Fork Trinity, second is on Hennesey, Third is near Gray’s Creek above Hawkins Bar, 4th was way up near Grove’s Prairie (out), and 5th (and 6th?) are above Hoopa on Big Hill Road (8 miles up, is what I read). Of course ALWAYS consult official sources, just trying to pass on info as best as I know.
Thank you.
Thanks for the info yesterday, do you have any further updates? Or know where I can get more details on the Grouse mtn fire? Inciweb doesn’t seem to have it on their site yet…
