Early this morning, about 5:15, a large tree fell and blocked Redwood Drive near Bear Canyon Road (the Renner Station/Caltrans road). Humboldt County Public works responded and they are working there now.

We’ve reached out to public works and requested more information.

Thank you for keeping us informed and safe! One correction in the title – Redwood Drive – when I saw the title I was worried about homes, people, etc. Glad no one was hurt.

On Redwood Dr. between Redway and Garberville.

Maybe the tree fell because it was dehydrated from the heat?
