[UPDATE 11:30 a.m.: Three Arrested Yesterday] From Campus to Courthouse: Pro-Palestinian Protesters Demand Release of Activists After Clashes at Cal Poly Humboldt

A small group of Pro Palestinian protesters, approximately 20 in number, splintered from a demonstration of several hundred students on the Cal Poly Humboldt campus late yesterday evening and headed to the Humboldt County Courthouse and Correctional Facility in Eureka. This move came after an evening filled with protests and the occupation at Siemens Hall that ended in celebrations by hundreds of students when law enforcement withdrew from campus.

The protesters’ demonstrations—both on campus and in front of the courthouse—underscore a growing movement across U.S. college campuses, pushing for significant changes in response to the ongoing Israel/Hamas war.

Early yesterday evening, tensions had escalated inside Siemens Hall, where around 60 protesters had taken over, prompting the university to cancel classes and close the building. Protesters had set up tents and spread out sleeping bags as they planned to settle in for what appeared to be a long occupation.

This video shows the clash between law enforcement and protesters. They briefly fought with nightsticks and water containers. The protesters eventually push officers back outside of the building. [Video by Ryan Hutson]

Our live coverage with our reporter Ryan Hutson showed a gathering with protesters primarily on the second floor with students calling for the University to begin divestment from corporations linked to Israel, in response to the ongoing conflict in the region which began last October when Hamas attacked across the border with Israel killing about 1200 people (most civilians) and taking approximately 250 people hostage. Israel’s response has left over 34,000 Palestinians dead, most of them women and children.

The splinter group’s decision to relocate their protest to Eureka came as the campus demonstration seemed to wind down when law enforcement left campus about 10:30 p.m. Those who traveled to Eureka stationed themselves in front of the jail entrance, demanding the release of individuals arrested earlier in the day during clashes on the university campus.

Sign held by protester in front of the Courthouse last night asks for freedom for Palestine and for the student protesters.

Ryan Hutson, reporting from the scene for Redheaded Blackbelt, told us the atmosphere at the courthouse was peaceful. Protesters chanted slogans and displayed banners, echoing the chants called back on campus. Only one law enforcement officer in his vehicle, a California Highway patrolman, was seen at the Eureka protest in contrast to the large number from different agencies at the Siemens Hall occupation on the Arcata campus.

About 20 protesters showed up at the Humboldt County Courthouse and Correctional Facility to wait for the release of some of the fellow activists that had been arrested.

Hutson saw the release of one woman who had been taken into custody by law enforcement at the Cal Poly campus. Reportedly, there was at least one more person arrested.

The two protests–Eureka’s as well as Arcata’s–are a part of a broader movement seen across U.S. college campuses that started last week and grew larger on Monday, where students who have been demonstrating against the Israel response in Gaza, are gathering momentum and attention. National media have begun covering the Cal Poly Humboldt protests. The Washington Post, NBC, and Fox are three that we noticed.

The campus protests which took off at prestigious institutions like Columbia and Yale back east spread to the West Coast and have led to multiple arrests, underscoring the growing unrest as the world watches the war in Gaza unfold.

As of three this morning as we prepare to publish this, Cal Poly Humboldt’s campus remains quiet, with protesters still encamped at Siemens Hall. Cal Poly Humboldt warns on its website, “Campus is closed through Wednesday.”

Updates will follow as more information becomes available.

UPDATE 11:30 a.m.: According to a spokesperson for Cal Poly Humboldt, “We can confirm that 3 protestors were arrested by University police last night.” We will be updating throughout the morning with information as we gather it. Earlier: Pro Palestinian Protesters Occupy Siemens Hall at Cal Poly

Non-violent resistance as demonstrated by Martin Luther King would have been more preferable than what occurred last night at CPH. Seriously, what do those protestors think that CPH can do to stop what is happening in Gaza? Rather than vandalizing state property, disrupting students education (many of who need to complete projects in order to graduate), taking law enforcement away from other pressing issues, the protestors should put their efforts into contacting Netanyahu who is orchestrating the genocide. Their behavior is shameful, small-minded, and very upsetting.

If you watch the video that shows LE taking away the furniture that is barricading the door while the protesters try to pull it back you will see red paint being thrown at the corner of the ceiling. Personally, I consider this vandalism.

The terror government of Hamas and the terror proxy of the Terror State Iran are coaching the leaders of these protestors across the country. https://apple.news/AOAdkJs85SRmFrmWlSrj8sQ
The students are useful idiots of terrorists. I feel about as sorry for them as I would for Adolph Hitler.
The genocide was October 17th when Hamas beheaded and burned babies, raped women, burned people alive in their homes, and so forth. The slogan from the River to the Sea is a call to kill every Jew in Israel and destroy the state. That is what these know nothings are supporting.
Everyone of the students who blocked the hall and hit police should be expelled, jailed until trail, and be reprogramed.
In Gaza, Hamas kills any homosexual of any flavor. There are no homosexuals in Gaza. In Gaza, women are the property of men. In Gaza, there is no famine since 500 trucks of food entered yesterday. Israel has killed 15,000 rapists, child murders, and genocidal terrorists. We need to denounce Hamas not glorify it.
The administration of Cal Poly needs to resign if they cannot expel the rabble rousers who blockaded a building last night

It’s amazing how Hamas projects their own genocidal ideation onto Israel. Israel wants to eliminate Hamas, not the Palestinian people. Hamas promises the events of October 7 will go on over and over again until the State of Israel ceases to exist with the extermination of Jews from the Jordan to the Mediterranean Coast.

We know it’s a religious war, and your a religious guy, KING DAVID, ;
We know why the fanatical Christians on the far extreme of Christianity want to kill Palestinians and protect Israel at any costs…. It’s Biblical, yah King DAVID!

God promises in His Word that He will protect Israel, the apple of His eye. We give you five Bible texts that underline this.

Zechariah 2:8
For this is what the Lord Almighty says: After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye.

Deuteronomy 32:11-12
Like an eagle that stirs up its nest and hovers over its young, that spreads its wings to catch them and carries them aloft. The Lord alone led him; no foreign god was with him.

Deuteronomy 33:29
Blessed are you, Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will tread on their heights.

Isaiah 46:4b
I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

Psalm 121:4-5; 7

Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you — the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The Lord will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life.

What is Israel’s hope? “My hope is in you.” David writes in Psalm 39. Prayer point for us: that all Israel may place her hope on the Lord!

I’m no uneducated fool. I have a master’s degree from a very prestigious university.
Good try tho

You said: “Seriously, what do those protestors think that CPH can do to stop what is happening in Gaza?”

According to the story: “…a gathering with protesters…with students calling for the University to begin divestment from corporations linked to Israel.”

Apartheid Israel needs to be isolated as an international pariah just as apartheid South Africa was previously.

It’s no coincidence that Israel was among the tiny handful of countries that supported apartheid South Africa.

And therefore no surprise that South Africa stepped forward to call out Israel’s genocidal attacks on Gaza.

Driving up to Eureka Courthouse and Humboldt Poly to protest from Northern Mendocino today if anyone’s wants to carpool! They are genicidists. They murder children and babies using indiscriminate carpet bombing of civilians and neighborhoods. Israel is EVIL! Just like the HCSO is !
Fire In The Eyes, a powerful, unnerving look at Humboldt County’s 1997 policy of using pepper spray directly on the eyes of non-violent protesters. This 32 minute portrayal of the controversial police tactic, euphemistically called “pain compliance”, shows the dark side of law & order. With the primordial redwood rain forest as it’s backdrop, and in-your-face, direct actions of Earth First! as the catalyst, this video shows the increasing violence and police state mentality of Government and “Big Business”.Though disturbing in subject matter, this movie is entirely watchable, and needs to be seen! The editing and the soundtrack make it a griping, intense experience just to watch.
The Humboldt police and Congressman Frank Riggs make their feelings known, as do the survivors of this torture technique and their attorney Tony Serra. ncludes the story of David “Gypsy” Chain’s tragic death in Grizzly Creek, and the police’s violent response to a 3-week road blockade that followed. “Fire in the Eyes” asks, “What’s your definition of torture?” and shows that what shocked the nation in the Fall of ’97 has become accepted police policy for ’98.
Some of us sense that America is growing into an authoritarian society,” says producer James Ficklin. “The hierarchy of power that is institution-alized within large corporations, is essentially a dictatorship.”

I know it’s a challenge but please pay attention. Israel’s initial total of 1,400 “mostly civilians” included numerous Palestinians incinerated by Apache attack helicopters.

The toll was later revised to 1,139 which includes 400 or more soldiers, police and other armed authorities.

Add to that a significant but unknown number of armed residents who were part of their local security teams.

The toll also includes numerous Israeli’s killed by “friendly fire” as the IDF “resolved” several hostage situations on 10/7 & 10/8 by applying the Hannibal Directive.

The Apache attack helicopters fired at any and all vehicles heading for Gaza, killing an unknown number of hostages and also targeted anything that moved at the music festival.

Some Israeli survivors and military personnel have been courageous enough to come forward with the verifiable truth.

The attacks by Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other fringe groups and individuals were horrendous and the facts are damning enough, but nothing put out by NetanYAHOO, his genocidal far right fundamentalist partners or the IDF can be taken at face value.

Such Palestinian groups are equally as genocidal as Netanyahu. Usually far worse. Capability only is the difference you are judging. You don’t get a pass to say that the Hamas attack was damning then not damn them.
Until people understand that both sides are full of hate and intolerance and have decided that no quarter can be given, that this is a war between genocidal ideologies, not one between a victim and victimized, the world can not make either of them quit.

Capability IS the big difference, which makes this a very one-sided “war”.

But you’re ignoring the ongoing and accelerating capability of the Israeli government to discriminate and oppress Palestinians from 1948 until now.

Instead of eliminating Hamas (bombs cannot destroy an ideology) Israel’s genocidal attack on Gaza guarantees there will be no shortage of jihadists for generations to come.

And if the U.S. ever stops enabling Israel, Palestine will be free. And if it doesn’t we might wind up in a regional or world war.

Those are meaningless assertions- you seem to be saying that the only problem is that the Israelis are more technically competent at genocidal attacks than the Palestinians. Not that the Palestinians or their Arab supporters are any less genocidal. Or they oppress others with any less brutality.
Which of course is apparent excuse that Pro Palestinian protesters give for ignoring the innate violence and ugliness perpetrated by Hamas and their supporters. Their level of atrocities being brushed aside because they are somehow given a pass for raping, kidnapping and murder because they are otherwise less effective. You know, if Palestinians engaged in political non violence in defense against Jewish settler violence, instead of what would be a comic-except-for-the-attrocies of the 10/7 attack, the world would have likely aligned in there favor. What you can’t seem to grasp is that violence is wanted, those perpetrating it are called martyrs and there is zero willingness to put aside hate to get what they want. It is far from just all Israel’s fault. But it is also clear that a major reason for the inequality of resources is that Israelis rare attack each other while the Arab Palestinians constantly do so. That speaks to the issue.
Hello oh thee of little historical understanding. There has never been a shortage of jihaddist in Palestine. There has been a continuous series of battles between Arab forces and Jews since the Ottoman Empire lost control of Palestine after WWI and their power of preventing Jews from immigrating there while simultaneously encouraging Arab immigration that they had for the previous 400 years. The minute the outside control was switched from Ottoman to British and the ban on Jews relaxed, the Jews came and the Arabs objected no matter how small and lacking in power the Jewish settlements were. Never was there a point of compromise.

So you don’t think Israel has superior military capability compared to the Palestinians?

And you don’t think Israel has accelerated it’s discrimination and oppression of the Palestinians subject to it’s control?

And you believe Israel is succeeding in obliterating the jihadist ideology espoused by Hamas?

And you really think Israel can stand on its own without U. S. supplying billions of dollars EVERY YEAR to prop up the economy and supply armaments?

And you’re blissfully unaware of any risk of a wider war?

Speaking of fabrications and falsehoods, I’d say that’s 5 strikes and you’re out.

Netanyahu and the US has wanted to attack Gaza for decades, Israel allowed Hamas to attack that concert on purpose, it was used as a black flag terror event so Israel and the US Governments could commit mass acts if Genocide killing upwards of 40,000 women and children and maiming and injuring 150,000 more Palestininians, mostly women and children. Israel wanted to kill th Palestinians and to colonize GAZA with jews. It was all in their plans decades ago. It’s been documented that Israel killed its own civilians during that festival. Just so they could invade Gaza, and create new settlements. This began way before October 7th and everyone should dig a bit deeper. Let’s start with USS Liberty for example.

You ask: “How is Israel an apartheid government?”

February 1, 2022

“Israel’s apartheid against Palestinians: a cruel system of domination and a crime against humanity.

“Israeli authorities must be held accountable for committing the crime of apartheid against Palestinians, Amnesty International said today in a damning new report. The investigation details how Israel enforces a system of oppression and domination against the Palestinian people wherever it has control over their rights.

“This includes Palestinians living in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), as well as displaced refugees in other countries.

“The comprehensive report, Israel’s Apartheid against Palestinians: Cruel System of Domination and Crime against Humanity, sets out how massive seizures of Palestinian land and property, unlawful killings, forcible transfer, drastic movement restrictions, and the denial of nationality and citizenship to Palestinians are all components of a system which amounts to apartheid under international law.

“This system is maintained by violations which Amnesty International found to constitute apartheid as a crime against humanity, as defined in the Rome Statute and Apartheid Convention.”

Further reply to Anotherlocal:

“Our report reveals the true extent of Israel’s apartheid regime. Whether they live in Gaza, East Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank, or Israel itself, Palestinians are treated as an inferior racialgroup and systematically deprived of their rights.

“We found that Israel’s cruel policies of segregation, dispossession and exclusion across all territories under its control clearly amount to apartheid. The international community has an obligation to act.”

Israelis are afraid of Arab Palestinans. Arab Palestinians have given them just cause for fear.
Arab Palestinians are afraid of Israelis. Israelis have given them just cause for fear.
This did not arise in the last hundred years but was as bitter a thousand years ago. Both claim all the territory. Both claim the right of return. Both are pressured by their own religious right wings. Both have committed atrocities against the other. Neither believe secular rights are valuable. Both agree that peace is not possible.
Picking one as a victim and accusing the other will never stop the violence. Heaven knows outside government from Ancient Rome through the Ottomans to the UN have tried. Until secular values are forced on both, this will continue. You cannot prove your contention. Taking sides ensures their violence spreads to those takingcsides.

Nice rewrite of history!

Before Zionist inspired massacres and wars, Jewish and other religious minorities were generally tolerated and co-existed peacefully in Arab countries.

By contrast, the genocidal Cristian Crusaders were prone to put to the sword any Jews unfortunate enough to cross their path.

Only in your fantasy land. You trot out the Crusades as if you actually knew about them. Did you know that “The siege of Jerusalem (636–637) was part of the Muslim conquest of the Levant and the result of the military efforts of the Rashidun Caliphate against the Byzantine Empire in the year 636–637/38.” From Spain to India, Islam was spread by the sword. As late as 1683, Vienna was under attack from Islam.
The Crusades were actually reaction to the continuing military spread of Islam culminating in the assault on the last bit of the Byzantine Empire. “While Jerusalem had been under Muslim rule for hundreds of years, by the 11th century the Seljuk takeover of the region threatened local Christian populations, pilgrimages from the West, and the Byzantine Empire itself. The earliest initiative for the First Crusade began in 1095 when Byzantine emperor Alexios I Komnenos requested military support from the Council of Piacenza in the empire’s conflict with the Seljuk-led Turks.”
As for this land of peace until the Zionists start wars theory, there is no place on earth so fraught with ethnic violence than Palestine. Long before Zionism was a gleam in Herzl’s eye, local Palestinians fought against Arab and Egyptian immigrants. Current day Palestinians focus on displacement by the Zionist displac but totally ignore they are themselves the product of earlier displacement by Arabs and Egyptians just 50 years prior.
“Egyptian forced labourers, mostly from the Nile Delta, were brought in by Muhammad Ali and settled in sakināt (neighborhoods) along the coast for agriculture, which set off bad blood with the indigenous fellahin, who resented Muhammad Ali’s plans and interference, prompting the wide-scale Peasants’ revolt in Palestine in 1834.”
As for it all being the fault of Jews- “By 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, 4 April 1920, 60,000–70,000 Arabs had congregated in the city square for the Nebi Musa festival, and groups had been attacking Jews in the Old City’s alleys for over an hour.”

Your account alleging apartheid is complete propaganda and not true. Arabs from around the ME who are gay flock to Israel so they can be free of death treats. Arabs in Israel are integrated into the Judiciary, the hospitals, and other public institutions. Go see for your self on your next trip to Israel.

Israel only shoots when their troops are threatened as they were when they were stormed. Hamas dresses as civilians. They are armed. They dress as women and shoot at soldiers. Hamas are coward, liars, and murders. Even Joe Biden knows this. Why don’t you?

Israel kills women and children indiscriminately. Most of the “Jews” aren’t even Jews. A Jew is a person from a single tribe of the 12 tribes of Israel, the tribe of Judah, hence the true name of the religion “Judaism.” Most of the “jews” residing in Israel, claiming it as their land, are “Ashkenazi Jews.” Ashkenazi Jews are actually from an area just north of the Caucuses, and are a people of mixed Turkish and Slavic heritages, whose families have never resided within 1000 miles of the Levant.

My reasoning for supporting the Palestinians is simple: they never left, and I’m American. How can I possibly support the supposed “right to return” for a civilization that hasn’t existed since 931B.C.(The United Israelite Kingdom), when as an American, I don’t support the same “right to return” for the native Americans. My house sits on ancestral Wiyot land. I’m not willing to give my house back to the original inhabitants who were displaced a mere 400 years ago, less in a lot of places, and are very vocal about desiring their land back. So how can I support a violent campaign of conquest by the “Jews” spanning from 1948 to present day in a different part of the world based on some bullpucky “right to return” when I have no intention of “honoring” that same supposed “right” for the native population here?

I’d like to see one source of your information that is not spooned from Hamas reporters in Al Jazeera. Give us a site. Israel is providing 500 trucks of food a day. It is not being distributed by Hamas. It is being resold at high prices. Hamas still controls who gets food in Gaza.
Israel drops leaflets long before an operation to warn civilians to leave to avoid injury. Hamas fires rockets that fall back into Gaza killing civilians. they care nothing for the saftey of Arab civilians. Hamas is a criminal organization. Anyone who repeats their lies is a fool, uneducated, and unable to dig for the truth which is readily available on the Times of Israel every day.

Israel told them all to go to Rafah at the Soutthern Border, then Israel trapped the people at the Southern Border and then started murdering and killing them there with carpet bombing after they told then to go there. That’s genocide. Their statements were genocide. The Israeli government talked of killing every last Palestinian. That’s genocide..

Carpet bombing. The Israel Airforce uses precision rockets which only hit building where Hamas terrorists are operating. There is no carpet bombing,. Hamas hides its headquarters in hospitals. Hamas is genocidal murders. If they kill all the Israelis, the next target is the US and you.

The Israel Air Force uses 2000 pound jdams that cause bodily injury up to 1 mile away. They have used hundreds of those. The US by contrast only used one in the entire war with ISIS because of its destructive power.

Precision bombs that kill women and children, that’s genocide after the leaders said they wanted to kill every last Palestinians. The Israeli Leaders will end up paying for their war crimes in the World Court. The Geneva convention is real. War crimes are based on intent. They blatantly stated their intent. The protestors are rallying for an end to genocide.

Pretty obvious the punks with badges at the HCSO escalated the nonviolent protest and became violent against the student protestors!
HCAO has a long history of sadistic violence against non violent civil disobedience going back into the 1980s.
In this clip you can clearly see how HCSI escalates the situation and becomes violent against nonviolent student protestors who are protesting the US backed Genocide by Israel against the children of Palestine!
Get the f#ck out HCSO!

Fear of the draft, which was why so many were in college in the first place, was much more motivation than a desire to improve the world. It was the Civil rights movements in the South that lead the way. And gave college students techniques of protest which they pushed into violence. Don’t glorify the motives of students at that time.

Israel is not committing Genocide. To say so is a blood liable which started mass murder of Jews throughout history. The genocide myth Hamas tells its “useful idiots’ around the world to shout is a lie. Yes Israel related against Hamas, because raped parents in front of their children and children in front of their parents and then shot them or took them hostage.
So far Israel has killed 15,000 Hamas soldiers. The death toll of civilians cannot be verified and Hamas lies every time they open their mouths. It is not 34,000. It is probably under 15,000. But there would be no civilian deaths if Hamas did not place its tunnels and munitions in every mosque, school, and hospital.
Students who claim Israel is committing genocide need to learn these truths before acting like a wild mob.

Student Protests will resolve 2000 years of these religious folks killing each other, for whatever reason…

Hate, War, Religion… What is the real problem here?

Not enough sex, probably…

Taking over the Student Union has been done to death, and Arabs vs Jews, made no sense in 1967, and it still doesn’t…

Americans should not support a war over territory, religious differences, or internal conflicts in neighboring countries…

I am opposed to paying for this, and these students should be going to school, screwing or smoking dope, which are usual college activities, instead of causing hazards, endangering themselves and others, and costing the State money it does not have…

If you want to fight, enlist in the Navy or Army. If you want to work for Corporations and have stuff, finish college and move on…

Grow the fuck up, cause you can’t change the world from Arcata.

What would you have Israel do? Buy weapons to defend against terrorists from Cuba or Russia? Maybe if Israel used socialist weapons you would be happy?
The weapons Hamas uses come from Iran and North Korea, two of the strongest supporters of freedom in the world. Right? Yeah, Iran never shot protesting women in the head and raped them in prison. Of course not. In your world maybe. In fact Iran and North Korea want to destroy our democracy. and Hamas uses the weapons of Iran and North Korea.
Anyone who uses John Oliver for a source of information is a joke.
If Israel had no weapons, Hamas, Iran, and Hezzbollah would invade and kill every Jew. Think hard before you reply that is the outcome you want.

Sixty seven percent of Israeli Jews are brown people of Mizrahi, African and Sephardic descent, As well as from the Levant. Israelis and Palestinians are often indistinguishable… Calling Israel a Racist country is an uneducated projection of America’s racist society. There are Arab Israelis in all levels of society and government. Get your facts straight. They do not fit neatly into your black and white way of thinking… Many Arab Israelis as well as Palestinians hate Hamas and what they have done! And check your numbers… Proven to be wrong. There are criminals on all sides of this war!! The criminals are the right wing religious extremists on both sides! Quit demonizing an entire people and country for what their right wing government does… On both sides! There are thousands in the streets of Israel every day protesting what Netanyahu’s government is doing! As well as Palestinians who hate Hamas! Wake up to the complexity. It does not fit into your tidy little package.

“…students calling for the University to begin divestment from corporations linked to Israel…”

How’s that supposed to work? For CPH to do that, it would have to sell its Israel stock to someone else. The investment in Israel would still exist, and Israel would not be affected in the least. All divestment would do is transfer the students’ guilt to someone else. Would that really help anything?

And, 2020 called. It wants its masks back.

I’m not sure they have this in mind but Cal Polys have turned out engineers that funnel into Lockeed Martin. Maybe they have direct involvement with the schools and they certainly have a lot to do with supplying weapons to Israel. I wish these kids would simply hold signs and share their legitimate concerns and information peacefully. Assessment of Myocardial ¹⁸F-FDG uptake at PET/CT in Asymptomatic SARS-COV-2 vaccinated and Nonvaccinated Patients (Published Journal Radiology Sept. 2023)

T. Nakahara, Y. Iwabuchi, et. Al

Measured ¹⁸F-FDG uptake with PET scans. (positron emission tomography (PET)
Study shows myocardial damages with uptake.
Included 303 nonvaxxed and 700 vaxxed.
Vaxxed had overall higher myocardial FDG uptake compared to nonvaxxed.

The uptake was observed in patients imaged in four date ranges. 1-30 days, 31-60 days. 61-120 days and 121-180 days after second vaccination, with increased ipsilateral axillary uptake in vaccinated vs. nonvaccinated patients.

Editor Emeritus, Dr. Bluemke in editorial noted “The main results…for asymptomatic patients vaccinated for COVID-19 before PET had about a 40% greater radiotracer activity in the myocardium than unvaccinated individuals. (Statistically) The P value was low, less than .0001, translated to only one time out of 10,000 would these results occur by chance.”

This is suggesting that mild myocardial inflammation could be more common than expected. F-FDG uptake was higher in all vaccinated quartiles with age adjustments. Further, the myocardial SUVmax (g/ml) does not recover with time and was even above the level on the unvaccinated  in the 40 patients who only received one dose.

Original ResearchFree Access.

What your missing is that their weakness is precisely what allows for their deep felt empathy for the world’s oppressed. Be glad you are insulated from that horror, but recognize the canary in the coal mine. One could argue that it’s their kind of sensitivity that keeps the rest of us safe if we chose to heed the warning. It seems these “protesters” don’t realize that their tactics do nothing to make changes. What in reality happens is that whether or not their cause is valid or legitimate (generally it is not), the methods used to make their point invalidates the point to those looking on, especially those whose livelihoods are threatened because they can’t get to work or school, etc. For me personally, their tactics have made it to where I no longer have sympathy at all for the Palestinian cause, just as I lost all sympathy for BLM based on their tactics a few years ago.

These people’s suffering was something they brought upon themselves. If you look back at the flood, Noah preached trying to save as many as possible. Only eight got on the ark. The rest were destroyed by their “cause.” In Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot was not told to try to reach out and save anyone. He was told to leave and the cities were destroyed because of their “cause.” Same with Jericho, except Rahab and her family. The rest were destroyed by their “cause.” Yes, I know Nineveh was saved through Jonah. It was because they gave up their “cause.” And the thief on the cross was saved because he gave up his “cause.” The hateful rhetoric of the Palestinian “cause” says they want death to Israel and death to America. This cause is 100% evil, just like the above mentioned Biblical accounts. Until such rhetoric changes, everyone who chants such rhetoric will never receive my sympathy or support. Bad choices sometimes end in what is happening in Gaza and rightly so.

Or is that only applied when the side mainstream news doesn’t agree with says something you don’t like?

If it was just freedom of speech, that would be fine. However, blocking bridges, shutting down a college campus, etc. Is not speech. And chanting death to Israel and death to America is hate speech, not protected, but rather has its own category, hate crime, when accompanied with the actions above. Everyone involved should be arrested and prosecuted for these hate crimes.

Thank you for saying what I feel is the bottom line here. The whole mess yesterday took away peace officers from doing their usual patrols in our little community. No doubt there will need to be more of OUR tax money used to clean up the vandalism of state property that occurred last night, too. If students were involved they need to be removed from campus for good. I believe that there is a code of conduct in the university system that the students agree to when they enter the university. I am fed up.

This is what we get from recruiting these SoCal agitators to our peaceful county – violence and property destruction same as BLM riots. BTW, BLM was a scam that profited organizers with millions and millions, always what it was about and these Hamas rallies probably the same.

There’s no such thing as an innocent Palestinian. They chose Hamas. They indoctrinate their children from birth to hate Israel and to Hate America. Even the trash Palestinians voted in to congress chant death to Israel and death to America. They teach their children to chant death to Israel and death to America as soon as they can speak. No, I don’t believe killing children is good, but it is 100% their parent’s fault for their support of terrorism. It’s interesting you care about these children, all the while millions of babies are murdered by parents and doctors every year through abortion. I guess you care about the babies of terrorists more than American babies.

The fact that more than half the drones are wearing masks tells you everything you need to know——-mindless trolls who get directions from Central Planners and are told to think a piece of cloth is gonna save them. They have no clue they do nothing but cause bad teeth, bad breath, and advertise the wearer as being a gullible dolt.. These mask wearing drones are easy pickens for every Democrat pet cause and their Jim Jones like megaphone leaders ——.George Floyd, Climate Change, Racism, Israel-Palestinian, etc…Please, just go back home to SoCal and harass your parents and the other concrete people instead.

Bruh come on with this mask stuff, if you can’t wear a mask during a global pandemic to save your fellow man, you’re pretty much a shit person. Straight up. It means you’re selfish and you lack empathy for your fellow human. That that was the real eye-opener of covid, how selfish some people are to refuse to do something so simple and easy.

There was no global pandemic. Your channel lied to you. It was a flu. Lots of us wore masks when appropriate, such as being inside with other people, but not outside at the beach. They real eye-opener was how many people lacked rational thinking and just blindly obeyed their masters. Same people were so quick to wish those with opposing views to be put into containment camps for not obeying and accepting untested “vaccinations” without question. Those same people claimed to be the “good ones”. You’re sick.

It’s indicative of a person being a “sheep”. I do agree that masks have a purpose, but we know that the purpose is to stop spreading germs, spit, etc. Wearing one when you’re sick, (or in a buffet line) is fine, but wearing one thinking it will save you from breathing in germs is silly. Lots of people, mainly young, wear them as a virtue signal. Don’t pretend that’s not the case. I know plenty of them.

Big ups to the kids out there protesting, very cool. Israel does not treat Palestinians as equals, and they get away with it largely because of usa support. After WW2 USA had Israel’s back 100% , but seeing the way they have oppressed the native Palestinian population since younger generation now sees how unfair The situation is and how little Israel provides us in return. The youth are saying I’m not cool with this and I’m not cool with our tax dollars going towards this sort of thing and it’s time to divest $$ and support from Israel. These are all common sense things. It’s nothing radical and it’s The right thing to do.

I remember when a small group of tree huggers locked hands across a rural logging property driveway for about 3hrs and the sherif forcibly stabbed their eyes and mouths with pepper spray… enjoy your privilege.
interesting that throwing a well organized public protest without vandalism, with workshops and speakers, presenting both solutions and tools for change, covered by media and supported by a majority of your fellow citizens never crossed your minds.
this is a far cry from Alcatraz, March on Washington, Women’s March on Washington, or even Dapl for that matter.
I watched your protest and was amazed that the only clear message you have is screaming, “Free Palastine” “divest” or “the staff are with us” and your clear actions are anarchy. your message is not very clear, and your roadmap to get there is nonexistent. Actually I expected better.
Please take a global politics course so you can understand clearly that no matter how many people you make late to work, or class, your actions convince Isreal of nothing. Even if we tell Isreal no, which we are doing, they have never really listened to us whenever they as a government have set their minds in a different way.
Although we helped create the state they now enjoy, we have never been in control of the state of Israel. We offer simply pressure and suggestions through political and economic means. That is all we can do to facilitate change there and it’s been that way for decades. your cries fall on deaf ears, and you offer nothing in the way of real change, but you did assault some LEO’S and kept some students from attending class!
Consider re-enactment and self swabbing your eyes with pepper spray in honor of those who came before you!
Well done!

Squirrel supports free speech, right to peacefully protest (not vandalism and assaulting police), and has consistently railed against US fueling foreign conflict: taxpayer funded arms to Israel and Ukraine. The fact is neither conflict needed to ever arise, the CIA 2014 coup overthrowing the democratically elected Ukrainian government was the seed for the present conflict just as Biden’s failure to enforce lawful sanctions against Iranian oil experts provided the billions to arm their proxies to attack Israel. US should not be involved in these foreign conflicts and we certainly have no credibility calling for a ceasefire after US killed 1000 to 1 following 9/11, mostly civilians. Just take care of America and allow these foreign entities to sort out their disagreements by their own means. The US should have zero involvement in foreign conflicts killing millions.
Genocide Joe funded both sides of Middle East conflict, vote anyone but Biden Regime ’24!

All these protesters and supporters crack me up. You all have forgotten why this started and who started it!
Maybe stop rewind and re read your history the Bible and talk to some people who are actually boots on the ground over there and you will understand.
Quick recap here Isreal was minding their own business have a music festival.
Hamas decided to jump the gun on Irans plan,
Hamas goes in rapes murders beheads puts babies in the oven videos and calls family members to boast about it. They take a couple thousand hostages then go run back to Gaza where they hide.
Hamas has tunnels dug under schools hospitals homes and so on. And yes Palestine has allowed it.
Israel says oh that’s how you want to play?
They give the residents time to leave before attacking. Some leave some don’t. Why do some stay you ask?
Great question.
Hamas told them if you leave we will shoot you as your leaving.
Why did they do that?
Another great question.
Because they thought Israel wouldn’t attack.
Well they were wrong and rightly so. Hamas still has hostages that belong to us. Why not protest to get them back?
So hopefully that helped someone. Maybe it will make you rethink what you’re doing.
If it’s not ok for someone to protect themselves weather an individual a state or a nation then I say let’s have fun.

These domestic Dem protesters have a tinge of antisemitism in their messaging that’s concerning, reminiscent of Nazi Germany and we know what came of that. And there’s reporting that protesters in other places are funded by leftist oligarchs, so that’s concerning too, seems intention is to destroy civil American society.

First of all what is the source of your figures. 1200 innocent Jews and Arabs were killed by Hamas on Oct 7th. another 400 Israeli soldiers fought the Hamas rapists and baby burners and kidnappers and rapist over the next few days. Almost another 400 Israeli soldiers have died fighting Hamas since, some of them Arabs and Druse.
In the last six months Israel has killed almost 15,000 Hamas terrorists. Hamas’ number of dead– for that is the number all news outlets cite– yep they cite Nazi murders in the West for how many civilians were killed.
Even if we believe the 15,000 civilians which I don’t (it comes from Hamas), then only one civilian has been killed in dense urban fighting which no army has ever achieved before. 1:1.
So give us a break about slaughtering children. That is a lie you bough hook line and stinker.

Good example of ‘head in sand’ (putting it nicely) comment.
Israel has been provoking the Palestinian people for decades. You seem to only want to hear their propaganda.
And. Hamas, like the terrorists on 911 knew there would be a harsh response. They wanted that in order to expose Israeli crimes and excesses. Mission accomplished.
I condemn both sides, the US, and the many enabling countries that have allowed the excesses of the Israeli apartheid state to continue.

Please explain how they have been provoking Palestinians?
The land belongs to Israel and has for thousands of years. And Palestinians want it all not just a little.
Everyone seems to forget that the real reason for all this is cause of no land deal. Stop and look back farther than October 7th.
Hamas is a terrorist organization and needs to be wiped out. The concert goers didn’t do anything wrong families in their homes eating a meal didn’t do anything wrong babies most certainly didn’t do anything wrong but men with go pros came in and slaughtered. I wonder if these protesters agree with hummus’s treatment of women and homosexual people? it appears a few of them might identify with the lgbtq community. Oh the irony. These are the same people shouting and name calling Israelis, Zionist Nazis. (I’ve heard this parroted numerous times)

Yes what is going on is tragic and sad, and I think all would love for this conflict to stop, but this is another Russian war. Iran backed by Russia, hummus backed by Iran. It appears people can’t look from a Birds Eye view anymore. But atleast they feel good about themselves protesting and saving lives.

Seriously… There was a valid ceasefire before Oct 7, Hamass killed innocents, kidnapped and raped to death women from many countries, murdered an Arab taxi driver, and still could have ended the fighting by surrendering and releasing the hostages.

Instead, they continue launching missiles at civilians.

Defund Humboldt State for harboring Hamas terrorists and being a safe haven for antisemitic hate groups.

This is Pro Hamas no doubt. “From the river to the sea” is a Hamas slogan. Hamas is cheering these ‘from the river to the sea’ chants, because a Palestine between the river to the sea leaves not a single inch for Israel.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. These people are addicted to stress and are acting based out of fear. Our whole community is still wearing masks and is having gender identity issues. Let’s help to heal the wounds of battle that have been left from the past few years and move forward. We need to fix the state of fear and panic that causes our people to act like this. What I see in these videos are people acting out of fear on both sides completely misguided by their emotions. The protesters aren’t specifically upset about Palestine they are upset about life in general is what I can see. The populous generally speaking are chronically addicted to having conflict. We need to heal our people and communities before perpetuating foreign affairs on our soil.

It’s an interesting ‘coincidence’ that the cops arrested some protesters, knowing that the others will use their release as one of their demands. Almost like the cops do that intentionally. Bargaining chips. Gee, that’s what Hamas and many terrorist organizations do! Hmmmmmm.

Martin Luther King’s non-violent protests repeatedly failed to make change until protesters independently locked down in resistance, as I recall.
Government has persistently refused for months to desist funding mass murder weapons used to kill or maim non-combatant women and children in Gaza, thus protesters have no conscientious choice but lock down if they are committed to stopping mass murder, starvation, & revenge. Fortunately there is no evidence of vandalism or violence by protesters at CalPoly; this behavior is respectful, wise, and patriotic in accord with our Constitution, hence most commendable and demonstrates great respect for education and CalPoly. Disrupters and infil-traitors will likely seek to incite vandalism and violence.

Columbia has decreed online learning for balance of year but no discount on $60k/yr cost. Pretty sweet deal for teachers, show up in underwear for a few hours of Zoom each week receiving full salary.

“The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it’s very brightly colored, and it’s very loud, and it’s fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, “Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?” And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, “Hey, don’t worry; don’t be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.” And we … kill those people. “Shut him up! I’ve got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real.” It’s just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here’s what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.”

Downvotes?! That’s bizarre. This was a great comical piece from Bill Hicks- but like some of George Carlin’s last pieces it was more than just funny. It was a philosophical and positive attempt at humanity. I love this piece. Thank you for posting. If we gave the Palestinians instead of guns and oppression clothing, food and resources to build a better future would we have peace? Well…not if Hamas turns all those into weapons and attacks an Israeli rave to murder. It’s one messed up place over there…Possibly the deepest well of hate on our planet. Hamas AND Israeli racists. Can we solve this?

Really? Blocking legitimate students access to buildings will stop the war in Gaza? How about Hamas surrenders and returns the hostages, but no, the little darlings have to establish credentials as “useful idiots” How Hamas and their Iranian backers laugh when women, gays, trans, “stand up for Hamas” Numpties…
