[Update: Toyota and Tow-Truck Need Tow] Ambulance Requested for Traffic Collision on Ettersburg Road

traffic accidentEmergency personnel are headed to a traffic collision west of Redway just before 4 p.m. on March 6.

According to scanner traffic, the collision occurred on Ettersburg Road, four miles north of the Briceland-Thorn Road intersection, just north of Dutyville Road.

An ambulance was requested; however, no additional information is available at this time. Please use caution in the area.

Update 4:18 p.m.: According to our news partner, KMUD News, the vehicles involved are reported to be a black pickup and a Buddy’s Towing tow-truck. The CHP Traffic Incident Information page states that Buddy’s Towing has been informed that their driver is okay. Buddy’s Towing asked to be contacted if their tow-truck needed a tow.

Earlier, a second ambulance was initially requested, but has subsequently been cancelled.

Update 4:24 p.m.: Buddy’s Towing has indeed been requested to tow their vehicle from the scene. The CHP log states that the tow-truck has a blown-out, front, left tire and a blown-out radiator.

The second vehicle, listed as a black, Toyota pickup, is reported to have major front-end damage and a blown-out, front, left tire.

Funny how tow truck drivers own the road. They all drive like teenagers. I had one tell me he had more authority than CHP on the road.

I have yet to meet a tow truck driver that thinks they own the road. Most all are excellent drivers and I am sure can outdrive you Dumboldt. Good luck getting a tow from Buddy’s Service.
