Arcata Flood Advisory Issued
The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a flood advisory in effect until 1:45 p.m. The flood advisory, covering coastal areas of Eureka and north to the Arcata Airport, warns of minor flooding in low lying areas.
NWS cautioned, “…[T]hunderstorms will contribute to minor flooding around Arcata through the early afternoon. Be extra cautious while driving around.”

Since midnight my rain gauge shows 1 and a half inches of rain. We got almost half an inch in about 15 minutes during one downpour.
