Glad they didn’t hire the Ex-Cop…
A great choice as far as I am concerned. The colored gentleman did not seem to be liked by very many people, including CR staff and students.
“Colored” like purple, pink, blue, green? You’re not living in the south anymore, Martin.
To be fair; I do believe he was all for servicing the students.
How could you tell he was all for serving the students?
Is “colored gentleman” still the preferred term for today’s polite racists? I thought that went out of fashion in the 1960’s South.
I am almost 80 and used that term as far back as I can remember. He is black (colored) an acted like a gentleman. Would you prefer I used several of the N words to describe him? There are many different types of people of color as you know. Using nasty words to describe them makes me sick. Would you like to be called a redneck jackass? No, I did not think so. To each his own Tim.
That’s why I mentioned polite racism, it reads like something my 90 year old mother would say and she is definitely racist although very southern polite about it.
The point is that there was no reason to refer to his race at all and doing so when it isn’t relevant to anything is an example of racism.
I sure hope your 90-year-old mother is alive so she can tell you to cram it. Why did you mention her age? Are you an age racists? Tim, you will not win the racist game with me, so please shut the hell up!
Folks, you’ve had some time to express your point of view. At this point, move on. If either of you responds here, I’ll put that person on moderation.
I will stop Kim. Did not mean to cause any harm.
