GoFundMe Started for Family of Young Woman that Died at Moonstone Beach

A GoFundMe has been started for the family of Martina Scarfia, the recent nursing school graduate that died on Moonstone Beach while surfing.

The fundraiser was started by Alyssa Lea, a close friend of the Scarfia family, to help with end-of-life expenses. Any funds raised beyond that, the family would like to help others like Martina that want to go into the nursing field. Lea stated, “A Martina Scarfia Nursing Scholarship is currently being considered by College of the Redwoods and it is our hope to contribute in her honor.”
