Today, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released the most recent statistics on COVID-19 in California. The most up to date data is available on the state’s COVID-19 data dashboard.
Statewide COVID-19 Data
Rates of cases, hospitalizations and deaths are highest among unvaccinated individuals and lowest among boosted individuals. This is true for all age groups. See additional data for unvaccinated and vaccinated cases, hospitalizations, and deaths.
Vaccinations
- 87,804,809 total vaccines administered.
- 72.6% of the population has been vaccinated with a primary series.
- 14,570 people a day are receiving COVID-19 vaccination (average daily dose count over 7 days).
Cases
- California has 11,038,266 confirmed cases to date.
- Today’s average case count is 2,434 (average daily case count over 7 days).
- During December 2022, unvaccinated people were 2.4 times more likely to get COVID-19 than people who were vaccinated with at least a primary series.
Testing
- The testing positivity rate is 5.0% (average rate over 7 days).
Hospitalizations
- There are 2,484 hospitalizations statewide.
- There are 293 ICU patients statewide.
- During December 2022, unvaccinated people were 2.6 times more likely to be hospitalized with COVID-19 than people who were vaccinated with at least a primary series.
Deaths
- There have been 99,401 COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
- COVID-19 claims the lives of 32 Californians each day (average daily death count over 7 days).
- During December 2022, unvaccinated people were 3.0 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than people who were vaccinated with at least a primary series.

She tested neg and he tested pos. They both seemed to have the same sickness. I’ve been sick for 12 weeks and tested neg. Had an apt at a clinic and told them, but they said come on in.. I would think I shouldn’t be contagious anymore, but still..

What’s really wild to me about crowley is how instrumental he was in the foundation of the American rocketry program. Jack Parsons, of JPL fame, was an avid devotee of crowley’s Thelema cult during the time that he was pioneering the technological foundation of what would become the space program.
Weird also that it was a nazi scientist, Wernher von Braun, that picked up the baton of the US space program. The Nazis had their own bizarre occult religion that was adjacent to the crowley stuff, although I don’t know if von Braun was into that.

Definitely entering some bizarre times with the technologies being unlocked over the last few decades.
Perhaps it is our destiny to assume the role of co-creator in this realm? Perhaps it is arrogance and will precipitate our civilizations demise?
The various religions that have/do held governing powers have generally not protected their citizens from atrocity and have often acted to deliver that atrocity. Most every secular government I can see has also rooted its power in some form of atrocity or another.
The secular humanist based societies in the Nordic countries seem to do alright, but they are small and ethno-culturally homogeneous and operate from a base of resource extraction and often on the backs of the riches of empire from an earlier age.
Perhaps these self styled materialist scientific saviors will succeed in delivering some sort of utopia. History tells us they will likely deliver a raft of unintended consequences. In either case it seems like an inevitability that these things will come to pass. Humans don’t seem to be able to help themselves when it comes to poking our noses into technological rabbit holes.

It’s an interesting question. I do get the sense, from some people I’ve known or talked to, that their adamant embrace of the scientific materialistic worldview is tied directly to some deeply negative experiences with the representative of some religious organization.
Trauma is a powerful psychological force. I don’t think it’s too far fetched to suggest that we, as a culture, are operating from a deeply traumatized place. Unfortunately, the choices we make from a place of trauma are rarely the best choices.
In the case of our culture, I think this trauma has us making choices that may cause a great deal of harm like the choice to turn over wide swaths of our social order to machine learning programs or unleashing a wave of synthetic biology into our environment. It also has cut many of us off from the tremendous power of things like prayer and faith.
I think this void is what drives things like the new age movement, the interest in Eastern mysticism, the fixation on occult trappings, and the proclivity for cults of celebrity. Humans seem to have a deep, maybe genetic, sense of a higher power and we will fill that void. Whether it’s with spiteful sky grandpa, the white robed priesthood, or any particular political savior, it all strikes me as rooted in the same knowing.

I’ve come to see religion and scripture as twin technologies.
Religion is a technology that harnesses the power of mass ritual. Perhaps the most powerful tool we have to invoke that transcendent state and forge a sense of communal union.
And Scripture is a technology that harnesses human cognition and draws it into a deep, contemplative place where true inspiration can come through.
In balance, there’s unimaginable power there. But that power potential also makes them ripe targets for exploitation by folks with unsavory aims. No different than genetic manipulation. There are all sorts of hypothetical use cases that could at least claim the greater good, but what do we get? Proprietary seeds that can withstand the same companies proprietary toxins and apples that won’t bruise so you can sell old apples to people too lazy to cut up their own apples.
Perhaps we have seen the same thing with religion and scripture. I look at all the ancient temple sites around the world, the step pyramids of mesoamerica, the great earthen mounds of the lower Mississippi, the Wats of Siam, the cathedrals, and the Greek temples in Europe and I wonder at how powerful it must have been to gather on the appointed days as a community, the ritual music resonating through the specially designed space while the light of whatever particular celestial alignment lit up the innersanctum just so. Perhaps there was an herbal preparation involved to heighten the entheogenesis. Communities tied together, set into the wheel of the year.
Now, we get drunk and watch football? Tune in to some Hollywood award show where they play act their bizarre occult fixation? That’s partly tongue in cheek, I’ve experienced some moving moments in small churches, some midnight Xmas mass as a kid that gave that sense of awe, some shared plant medicine in a make shift shrine with some people close to me. But it sure doesn’t seem like we’re putting this ancient technology to the greatest use we could.
Scripture, on the other hand, could be said to be having a golden age. We can all access the sacred texts of more traditions than would have been remotely feasible a few generations ago. So I suppose that’s a silver lining.

In any case, we do seem to be living g through some sort of pivot point I history where human society is on the verge of transition. So many of our systems seem strained to near their breaking point. That will resolve itself somehow, but it’s hard to imagine a resolution that leaves us in a state that’s anything like the one we’ve been in for the last few generations.

VERY URGENT: After four shots, Covid jabs sharply REDUCED immune function in mice
Chinese researchers reported the results in a peer-reviewed paper published last month. The finding has gotten no attention. It needs attention.

Mice who received more than four Covid vaccine jabs had a collapse in their ability to fight the coronavirus, Chinese researchers have found.
The damage extended past antibodies, the immune system’s front line of defense against viruses and bacteria, to the T-cells that form the crucial backup.
The researchers reported the finding in a peer-reviewed paper published December 22 in the journal iScience. In surprisingly clear language, they warned:
Our findings demonstrate potential risks with the continuous use of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine boosters, providing immediate implications [emphasis added] for the global COVID-19 vaccination enhancement strategies.
Later in the paper, the researchers were even more direct:
We found that the protective effects from the humoral immunity and cellular immunity established by the conventional immunization were both profoundly impaired during the extended vaccination course.
The finding has not been confirmed in humans.
But the mice the researchers used are genetically altered to model accurately the human response to the coronavirus and have “been shown to share profound similarities [emphasis added] with humans in response to SARS-CoV-2 infections,” as the paper explains.
The scientists used a vaccine that has a different mechanism of basic action than the mRNA jabs from Pfizer and Moderna, which turn our own cells into spike protein factories. But like them, the Chinese-tested vaccine causes the immune system to focus on a specific part of the coronavirus spike protein to the near-exclusion of other responses.
The finding may help to explain why large epidemiological studies keep finding that people who have received multiple boosters are at higher risk for Omicron infection than unvaccinated people.

The Chinese report comes as Covid deaths are rising again in several highly mRNA vaccinated countries, including Australia, Denmark, and Japan – where they have now reached an all-time high, the population-adjusted equivalent of about 9,000 weekly deaths in the United States.
Meanwhile, large epidemiological studies – which measure real-world vaccine results – keep showing that mRNA jabs have “negative efficacy” against the coronavirus. In other words, people who received them are more likely to become infected than those who were never vaccinated.
Last month, researchers at the Cleveland Clinic reported that they had found “the higher the number of vaccines previously received, the higher the risk of contracting COVID-19.”
And last week a very large French study reported that a second mRNA booster was less effective than the first at every comparable time interval – and that after four months it actually raised the risk for infection compared to people who had not received it. Even worse,

That has been a story trotted out be anti vaxxers since a Canadian study stated that a flu vaccine lead to more respiratory illness from other viruses, which has been debunked.
There is a phenomenon that, if a vaccine has created an immunity resonse to a virus, another closely related virus might not trigger a big response because the immune system doesn’t register the difference. Of course the lack of understanding of the issue by anti vaxxers is displayed when they also say at the same time that getting exposed to viruses naturally somehow exercises the immune system to make it stronger. Which it doesn’t either.
The reality is that if the difference in a virus is too small for the immune system to “notice”, the immune system has enough information to deal with the current virus and will mount a response good enough to prevent the virus from getting out of control. A person may get sick but not as sick as if they had no vaccine for the original virus. ” Receipt of influenza vaccination was not associated with virus interference among our population. Examining virus interference by specific respiratory viruses showed mixed results. Vaccine derived virus interference was significantly associated with coronavirus and human metapneumovirus; however, significant protection with vaccination was associated not only with most influenza viruses, but also parainfluenza, RSV, and non-influenza virus coinfections.”

More evidence that the word “debunked” is just a way to disguise that the heft of the evidence actually amounts to “nuh uh”.
The study focused on a population that operates under mandatory vaccination, yet beyond acknowledging that retired personnel were brought in to make a large enough pool of unvaccinated people, they never explain who these active duty personnel that were exempt from the vaccination mandate or why that was the case. With them.
They also excluded people who had coinfections of influenza and and non-influenza because they didn’t know how to categorize them. But they don’t share how many people that excluded, and don’t explain why those people couldn’t have simply been an additional category the study investigated.
In addition, they admit to finding several types of non-influenza family viral infections were increased substantially in the vaccinated population. Yet, they go on to conclude that the fact that this effect was not uniform across all viral families proves that the vaccine can’t be implicated in any of the increases. Doesn’t that indicate that vaccination can’t be implicated in the cases where a virus family were reduced?

The specifics of that study are not public but something I read indicated it was a study that applied a booster to mice every 4 months. If that were true, it is not surprising the immune system would stop responding to it as an emergency.
