County Revises Measure O Road Work Schedule for Airport Loop and Other Roads

The Humboldt County Department of Public Works has revised the schedule for several upcoming Measure O road projects, including work around the Arcata-Eureka Airport.

According to an update from the county, weather permitting, construction originally planned for this week has been adjusted as follows:

Thursday, June 25

5th Avenue
6th Avenue
Kay Avenue
Kahlstrom Avenue
Airport Loop Road (first lane, ACV entrance detour via Baadsgaard Avenue)

Friday, June 26

Airport Loop Road (second lane, ACV entrance detour via Baadsgaard Avenue)

Monday, June 29

Golden Gate Drive
Ackerman Lane
Kemp Court

The work is part of the county’s ongoing Measure O-funded pavement preservation program, which includes chip seals, fog seals and fiberized micro seals designed to extend the life of existing roadways.

Motorists should expect traffic control, possible delays and temporary detours in work zones, and are encouraged to allow extra travel time.

The county noted that schedules remain weather dependent and may change if conditions require.
