Coastal Temperatures Expected to ‘Soar Above 70 Degrees’ on Monday, Says NWS

The National Weather Service is warning that it might get hot along the coast tomorrow and reminding you to keep yourself and your loved ones safe. The following information is from the US National Weather Service Eureka California Facebook page:

Hot weather is highly probable across all of Northwest California during Monday afternoon. While temperatures warm into the low 100s across interior valleys, highs along the coast are forecast to soar above 70 degrees. Take precautions to stay cool, and remember to never leave children or pets behind inside vehicles.

I am not counting on any politician. Self sufficiency is the key here in the small coastal mountain communities of the far southern end of the Pacific Northwest, a temperate rainforest. This has been a great year for all of my vegetables. It’s been like a giant greenhouse with the fog, sun, fog, nightly drizzle, overcast, then rain showers, then sun. Its like a combo of the Puget Sound and Hawaii. I love carbon dioxide as it makes my plants grow.

Hah! We are in the Pacific Southwest, not the NW. At least, according to the USFS, anyway.

I hope so. My corn and beans will be lovin’ it..
But we shall see. A lot of times high temps just bring in more fog. As is sitting in here as I speak.

65 to 70 degrees is ‘soar’? Oh the humanity! Could be deadly. Roll out to Willow Creek to cool off.
