Tonight at approximately 8 PM, officers with the Fortuna Police Department were dispatched to the report of a hit and run that had just occurred near the intersection of 12th and Main Streets.  Per scanner traffic, the caller reported the vehicles were chasing each other.

Officers contacted the driver of one of the vehicles near 13th and Main Streets.  The vehicle located was described as a white Toyota Tacoma.  The Tacoma driver supplied an additional description of the other involved party saying the vehicle was a gold SUV with a black bumper, with a female driver and passenger.
