The fires are keeping people alert but wildlife seems relatively calm.

Baby turkeys (poults) huddle with their mother at the sight of me.  Surprisingly though, even near the fires, deer and turkeys move calmly until they are faced with humans.

How cool! My silkie chicken eggs started hatching tonight so hopefully by morning, I’ll be a grandma :-).
