This story, with its accompanying picture, begs the question: Just how safe are cars nowadays? Okay, fifty years ago, automobile safety design was dismal. And if it weren’t for Ralph Nader, they’d probably still be rolling coffins. How’d the car catch on fire, anyway? The story doesn’t elaborate; and, of course, the author didn’t want to commit to anything this early without reliable facts. But it’ll be interesting to find out, as the story develops.
The occupants got out safely. Pretty sure that answers the question that was not being begged.
One smoking hot Honda. Glad everyone is fine.

Carry an EXTINGUISHER
Everyone should have at least one good size extinguisher in their vehicle. If the fire is that size when you get stopped, just get out of the vehicle along with any passengers, pets, and stand a safe distance away and call 911. Don’t risk your life for a vehicle that is not worth saving.
Strange…. Newer looking vehicle… intense fire! Probably fuel line under the hood broke/leaked plus spark from frayed wire/ or spark from metal…sucks!
Or they had a recall like my car does right now over engine compartment fires due to the ABS having a defect. So scary!!
