Bartlett springs road is on the north side of the lake and winds northerly into the brush covered hills.

Looks like a fire in Platina, west of red bluff. Just climbed out of maintaining my spring and looked south to see a huge pyrocumulis cloud (it’s a long way away, but i have a clear view south east of me). It’s that time of year when nature shifts over to the predominance of the fire element. And we’re tight on water, always stressful these next 8 weeks. Good luck everyone:) Wondering if The Real Brian can see it from his roost, looks huge.

Yes, the Platina Fire and one up by Pollard Flats alongside I-5, the Gibson Fire. I’m watching them.

The Gibson Fire is 100% contained. The Platina Fire is 340 acres and 30% contained.

Thanks for posting info on this area. Too bad it’s already burnt so bad, I think they were pretty much just pushing around charcoal this time.

This fire is/was at Bartlett Springs and Brim road which is just west northwest of Indian Valley Resevoir and south of Stoneyford. I live about where Bartlett Springs and High Valley rd join near Lucerne and no smoke to be seen. Just aircraft. Just to keep things as accurate as possible the fire is at the Lake County/Colusa county line.
