[UPDATE 6:16 p.m: Major Injury] Motorcyclist ‘Unresponsive’ After Traffic Collision on Hwy 36
According to a report from the scene, a motorcyclist is ‘unresponsive’ after a collision with a truck on Hwy 36 just east of Murrish Market in Hydesville at approximately 3:50 p.m.
“Traffic is congested,” reports a first responder.
Fortuna Fire, Hydesville Fire, and an ambulance are responding to the incident.

UPDATE 6:16 p.m: The patient has been taken to the hospital. The CHP is now calling this a major injury accident.

If you ride assume someone may at any time try to kill you. Not on purpose but they either didn’t see, didn’t think or whatever. On 2 wheels paranoia pays! And it isn’t really paranoia, just accepting reality.
I’m still riding 55 years after I got my first bike and yes, I’m damn cautious. If you get behind me I’ll get over at the soonest chance. I figure if a 4 car or truck hits a deer after I let em by they just made my life a tiny bit safer.

I just think it’s interesting people automatically assume someone was driving too fast. They call it an “accident “ for a reason. Unless you know the facts probably shouldn’t assume anything. Just hope for the best for all involved.

I personally would have assumed it was someone turning left in front of motorcycle which A very high percentage of auto/ motorcycle collisions are.
It’s almost ALWAYS the person in the car!!!!!!!
