Press release from the California Highway Patrol:

On March 11, 2019, at approximately 1151 hours, [Patrick] Herbstritt, with two juvenile passengers, was driving a 1998 Saturn Sedan southbound on US-101, north of Shimmins Ridge Road. Francisco Rodriguez was driving a 2011 Freightliner towing an unloaded flatbed trailer northbound on US-101, north of Shimmins Ridge Road. For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the Saturn lost control of his vehicle, which traveled across the northbound lanes and collided with the guardrail on the east side of US-101. The Saturn continued into the path of the Freightliner and both vehicles collided within the northbound lanes. The driver of Saturn was pronounced deceased at the scene and both juvenile passengers sustained major injuries. The driver of the Freightliner and his passengers did not sustain any injuries.

The cause of this collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

The California Highway Patrol responded and assumed incident command. Personnel from Cal-Fire, Willits Fire, Brooktrails Volunteer Fire Cal-Trans, and City Ambulance assisted with the scene. Mendocino County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.

UPDATE 4:05 p.m.: CHP reports that the two injured juveniles are two years old and five years and Patrick Herbstritt is their father.

R.I.P. Mr. Herbstritt. My sincerest condolences to all your loved ones.
Prayers to our Heavenly Father for the children who are in desperate need of God’s divine saving grace and healing. Only God knows why this happened, so I place my trust in God that God’s Will will be done. God knows our hearts cry out in grief, and only God knows the grief that is spared. His knowledge, wisdom, compassion, and love is far stronger than any of our own. I trust in Him. Amen.

Not sure God reads RHBB comments, folks. Maybe if they were authored in Hebrew, but even then, he’s always struck me as a LoCO reader…

God is everywhere. He also knows how to read and write. He’s the one who created the Golden Ratio. He knows everything.

Knowing what opinions and beliefs are is important in order to distinguish from facts.

I don’t think this thread is a place to debate opinions and beliefs, and the facts point to human tragedy and suffering. It will need human healing.

Shak, and most of us, can’t do much for this family, so just offer what goodness you can, or pass on commenting.

We can find better threads to debate comments that deal with “god” concepts, surely.

Or maybe it’s God’s will that we sort it out here and now.

I would refer you to my first paragraph, again.

Followed by the next 3.

First we’d have to prove that either
1. Pray for the children everyone! (white light and whatever else “religion or magic” you can think of?). (Gypsy Rose and Lenora March 12, 2019 11:08 am)
2. God is nowhere and that he can’t read. (Pike Mortar March 12, 2019 2:20 pm) (to suppress a loving and caring vibe?)
3. God is everywhere and that he can read. (Shak March 12, 2019 3:21 pm) (to lift up a loving and caring vibe)
4. Dictating that prayers be classified as ‘debate fodder’ while children and loved ones need our prayers?
(too many repetitious ones to grab hold of.).
5. My favorite one of all, Maybe it’s God’s Will to Sort it out Here and Now. (I like stars March 12, 2019 4:13 pm)

To suppress or Not to suppress, is the debate question to not debate?

My prayers continue for the loved ones and the injured. No debate about it.
(oh, yes, a prayer can be found here if anyone else is lost for words, like I was. March 12, 2019 12:56 pm) I hope a better one pops in, but until then, it is what it is.

No one needs to prove something doesn’t exist.

The honus of proof lies on those making grand claims that something does exist.

For instance, Magellan circumnavigated the world to prove it was round.

The Wright brothers built a plane to prove flight as a possible means of travel.

Elon Musk proved recapturing rockets is possible.

Now, Islam and Christianity have had plenty of time to prove their claims regarding Gods. If you have some new evidence let us know!

Not many call him the perfect one, but I guess there’s always a first time for everything. Funny thing is, there are researchers who claim he uses the Fionacci code quite often in his tweets and other comms.
A little bit of info about the Golden Ratio, Phi, and the Fibonacci found here: https://www.goldennumber.net/pi-phi-fibonacci/

One of the many helpful video’s, that’s only about 3 min long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt2OlMAJj6o&feature=youtu.be

Nature and Nature’s God, pure genius. Genuine genius. No man can ever come close to it. They can try to clone it, twist it, destroy it, change it, but they can’t create it, because our Creator already created it. Been there done that, s/he (hehee, is that better chasi?) already created all of nature from one simple recipe that the Creator created.
Bringing politics into it should be absurd, but in light of what the researchers have said, I’m not so ready to climb into that boat yet. Only time will tell I guess.

In any case, the loved ones of the accident victims should feel a peace at some time in their pathway of healing, and with peace comes understanding. Let’s hope and pray they learn the mysteries of the Maestro for an even deeper understanding into the unknowns that are only unknown until we know.

I agree. This is about the tragedy for this family. Also for the poor driver of the truck & his family (his 2 small children saw this horrible event.). You can rant somewhere else.

Hey man, yeah I agree it sounds funny and bringing many things into this that don’t need to be said.. I am raising my 9 month old and he needs me all the time! I can only imagine what those kids have going on and feel bad.. I think everyone is entitled to whatever they believe (I know we have some different beliefs in this county) and it is kinda cruel for people to discuss Trump and religion, at this time too.. unfortunately that is part of where we live I guess.
