[UPDATE] Gmail Down or Partially Down in Areas Across the World

Some people report being able to use html to post an email. Others report a complete inability to work at all.
Outage.Report indicates there have been 1267 reports in the last 20 minutes. (To put that into perspective, there were only 36 reports per 20 minutes on February 12 the last time outages were reported.)
Gmail has been having issues since a little after 7 p.m. Pacific Standard Time but as of 8:17 p.m. pst hasn’t issued an official statement.
UPDATE 9:46 p.m.: Although Gmail is still experiencing some problems, the numbers of reports have dropped drastically. Most local users (including us) no longer appear to have an issue.

I’m a multi acct user and I’ve been in my own little world this evening watching movies and crocheting…I wouldn’t of known until later.
That’s just terrible. We can’t have Google not spying on every one 24/7. I dream of a day all email crashes. Then people can talk again, instead of cutting and pasting life.

believe it or not, people use email to communicate. i know, it’s shocking. sort of like how people aren’t using their smartphones instead of talking to each other, but to talk to each other.

I had very few emails (G-Mail) in my inbox this morning. But I did just get one from Medicare, so maybe mostly fixed.
Perhaps unrelated but this morning unable to access Facebook after several attempts. When it did load up, unable to upload photo. Instagram would not load on first try. At local post office, couldn’t run credit card – connection lost. Gmail seems to be fine.
Obviously none of these issues are crises. Just an FYI.
Facebook is experiencing difficulties, this morning, too. I can’t post there for instance.

I too have been having trouble with fb and messenger.
Facebook is not doing well….if you check downrightnow.com it will tell you if it is up or down…or likely service disruption.
My govt phone is not messaging. It is failing me in other ways too……no minutes given though I reupped via fax and phone.
