Chimney Fire at Benbow Inn

Firefighters are being dispatched as of 8:53 p.m. to the report of a chimney fire at the Benbow Inn, according to scanner traffic. First reports from scene indicate that water has been “thrown” on the fire and there are no visible flames.
UPDATE 9:14 p.m.: Units not yet on site have been cancelled.
UPDATE 9:42 p.m.: Incident terminated. All resources return to base, according to reports on the scanner.

Fire was very minor. Sparks seen from the freeway so fire personal were called as a precaution. I was there with family and firemen were standing around laughing. So sad they were pulled away from their family on Xmas and so thankful for them. Thank you volunteer firemen!!! Merry Xmas!

No damage. Was all contained in chimney and the fire crew had it under control fast. No damage at all.
