Silent Art Auction to Support Arcata Fire–Affected Artists

This silent auction is a chance for the community to show up for its artists in a tangible way — by giving, volunteering, and helping ensure Arcata’s creative spirit continues to thrive.

Arcata community members are coming together to support local artists whose studios were destroyed in the Arcata fire on January 2nd through a Silent Art Auction taking place on Saturday, January 31st, beginning at noon at the Small Business Development Center, 876 7th Street, Arcata.

The event will feature donated artwork from local and regional artists, with all proceeds going directly toward helping artists recover, rebuild, and continue their creative work after this devastating loss.

Organizers are currently seeking donations of artwork as well as volunteers to assist with the event.

Artwork Drop-Off Locations & Times:

• Now through Friday: 955 12th Street, Arcata
• Saturday morning (day of event): Small Business Development Center, 876 7th Street, Arcata

Artists of all mediums are encouraged to contribute, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, prints, and more.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Community members interested in helping with setup, check-in, or general event support are invited to reach out.
