I am not sure of the legality, I am pretty positive his father has custody of him. He is with his maternal family, I think. I am not 100% positive on that.
But he has been seen, his whereabouts have been shared with at least tribal authorities, and his dad keeps hitting road blocks in being able to take custody of his son.
Hopefully that can be addressed sooner, rather than before its too late; because as I understand it he has substance abuse issues and it is being perpetuated with the current people he is with.

I also believe that is the situation, his Dad has custody and his son took of from school to the maternal family, and basically those family members are basically hiding him and contributing to his delinquency. His Dad and the sheriff’s are aware of where he is but can’t, or won’t in the case of the police, go onto property when they are being told that he is not there. This kid has told adults, cops etc that he was being abused by his Dad but that wasn’t believed by officials. I don’t know why it’s an issue when his Dad has had custody for of his kids their whole life and is not a dead beat Dad etc, this Dad is a great guy and has a strong support system based on live for everyone, so I don’t know why he or the cops can’t get the kid from the property. It’s so crazy what these kids get away with these days. In my day if my parent said I needed to be at home then that’s where I had to be because my parents said so. It’s ridiculous that he’s been gone for 3 months and the authorities have not brought this to a quick conclusion yet.
