The Dillon Fire continues to remain secure, and the continued focus is suppression repair and equipment backhaul.  Crews are coordinating with the Lead Resource Advisor, Suppression Repair Specialist, and Tribal Representatives to ensure work is effective and environmentally sound. Monitoring continues by patrolling the fire area, watching for hot spots, and addressing any remaining heat sources. There are no heat sources threatening the containment lines of the Dillon Fire. The Burned Area Emergency Response Team (BAER) have assessed the soils for burn severity of the Dillon Fire. The soil burn severity is a measure of the fire’s effect on the ground surface and soil condition which can affect infiltration, runoff and erosion potential. The majority of the burned area in the Dillon Fire perimeter had low to moderate burn severity.
