Fire crews continue to strengthen firelines, mop-up fire perimeters, backhaul equipment, chip fuels, and repair areas from fire suppression activities.

In the Carter Creek and Dillon spot area in the east and northeast, chipping and backhauling is the main focus of crews. All of the containment lines are holding with only minor interior areas of heat identified, detected using infrared (IR) technology, that area being addressed.

Yesterday, fire crews were engaged with addressing some pockets of heat in the southern section of the fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish those hot spots by the end of shift last night. Likewise, some areas of heat were identified in the Coffee Can Creek drainage in the north in which firefighters were also engaged with extinguishing.
