I drove by this morning, wreck wasn’t near the ramp at all. It was at the bend where people grab the wood down the hill. It appeared to look like the jeep blew the bend eastbound into oncoming traffic and struck the blue Chevy. The skid marks kinda gave it away. Jeep was pancaked

Translation: A little west of the Glendale exit(s).

I live off the 299…crazy drivers – trying to get back a few minutes they had to wait at the signal (n. fork bridge) or at one of the flagger stops…relax folks you’re going to get there…or not!

It’s Caltrans fault. I smell a lawsuit. Bright idea for Caltrans, how about finishing one project (especially on the same road) before you start another? Maybe tie promotion/retirement to how many projects you canceled and how much money you cut from the budget? Most of Caltrans road delays are little more than make work projects.

No pets on board that I saw. I was one of the first people there after it happened and about 10min before sheriff arrived. Solo driver in both vehicles.
