Caltrans Announces Upcoming Roadwork

The following scheduled roadwork has been verified at the time of release. Please keep in mind work is weather permitting and subject to change. Del Norte County
U.S. 101 (8.3/8.6) – Bridge work between Peine Road and Old Hunter Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101KB
U.S. 101 (14.8/22.7) – Construction in the Last Chance Grade area will continue. Additional emergency storm cleanup work is also in progress. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate a total of up to 30-minute delays. LC#C101ID, and C101OC
U.S. 101 (22.1/23.8) – Emergency work south of Crescent City from Enderts Beach Road to Humboldt Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect and motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#M101AA
Humboldt County
Route 36 (11/11.5) – Bridge work from Pamplin Grove to Redwood House Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA
Route 36 (22.2/22.5) – Utility work west of Bridgeville near Golden Gate Drive will occur on Monday, July 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C36UA
Route 36 (29.22) – Utility work east of Bridgeville at Deerfield Ranch Road will occur on Tuesday, August 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect 5-minute delays. LC#P36B
Route 36 (37.2/37.4) – Slipout repair near Burr Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#C36DA
Route 96 (27/27.6) – Emergency work near Sugar Bowl Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 15-minute delays. LC#C96MA
Route 96 (27/27.6) – Construction work near Bluff Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C96LA
Route 96 (28.1/28.3) – Bridge work at Aiken Creek Bridge and Bluff Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C96KA
U.S. 101 (14.3/15.3) – Drainage work north of Dean Creek Bridge continues. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101OD
U.S. 101 (25/27.1) – Drainage work from Salmon Creek Road Overcrossing to Eagle Point Viaduct continues. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101OD
U.S. 101 (27.9) – Bridge work at Myers Flat Bridge continues. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, full on and off ramp closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101ZC
U.S. 101 (33) – Road work in Weott at the Newton Road Undercrossing will begin on Friday, July 28. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101TD
U.S. 101 (45.5) – Road work at the Greenlaw Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, July 28. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101ZC
U.S. 101 (51.8) – Bridge work at North Scotia Undercrossing will conclude on Friday, July 28. Lane closures will be in effect overnight from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101MD
U.S. 101 (53.5) – Utility work in Rio Dell north of the Scenic Way Undercrossing will occur on Sunday, July 30. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101HA
U.S. 101 (74.7) – Bridge work in Eureka at the Herrick Avenue Overcrossing will begin on Thursday, July 27. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C101HA
U.S. 101 (77.3/78.1) – Various improvements between Grant Street and 5th Street will continue. Lane closures will be in effect overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101HD
U.S. 101 (80.3/83.4) – Construction work from Cole Avenue to Jacobs Avenue will continue. Lane closures will be in effect overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101FD
U.S. 101 (88.3/88.6) – Roadwork in Arcata from Route 299 to the Giuntoli Lane Overcrossing will begin on Thursday, July 27. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. A full on ramp closure will also be in effect and motorists should use an alternative route. LC#C101KD
U.S. 101 (94.9./95) – Roadway excavation at Clam Beach south of Exit 723 will begin on Friday, July 28. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C101SD
U.S. 101 (103/108.2) – Emergency work from the Trinidad Rest Area to Big Lagoon Park Road will occur on Thursday and Friday, August 3-4. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101ID
U.S. 101 (109.2/109.6) – Road work in the Big Lagoon area will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101ZC
U.S. 101 (112.4/119.5) – Roadway excavation in Orick will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should expect 10-minute delays. LC#C101SD
Route 169 (27.6) – Bridge work at Rube Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C169AA
Route 169 (32/32.8) – Drainage and paving work north of Weitchpec will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C169BA
Route 254 (0.5/16.8) – Construction work along Avenue of the Giants will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C254IA
Route 254 (3.2/4.3) – Bridge work between State Park Road and Fish Creek Road will continue. A full closure of this portion of highway will be in effect. Motorists should choose an alternate route. LC#C254CA
Route 254 (4.3/4.8) – Road work north of Fish Creek Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C254DA
Route 254 (8/16.8) – Road work from Cathey Road to Burlington Campground will begin on Friday, July 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C254IA
Route 299 (1.8) – Falsework installation at Route 200 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C299CA
Route 299 (1.8/5.5) – Drainage work from Route 200 to Blue Lake Undercrossing will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays. LC#C299QA
Route 299 (5.5) – Full on and off ramp closures at Blue Lake Undercrossing will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should choose an alternate route. LC#C299QA
Route 299 (11/12.5) – Drainage work from North Fork Mad River to Simpson Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#C299QA
Route 299 (21/23) – Utility work east of Chezem Road will begin on Monday, July 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C299LA
Route 299 (32.1/32.5) – Construction work near East Fork Campground will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#C299LA
Lake County
Route 20 (2.4/3.2) – Utility work west of Upper Lake near Scotts Valley Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 15-minute delays. LC#C20KA
Route 175 (19.5) – Bridge work in Cobb at Bottle Rock Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C175RA
Route 175 (22.4/22.6) – Road work near Putah Creek west of Socrates Mines Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C175JA
Mendocino County
Route 1 (43.92/44.2) – Utility work in Albion at Little River Road will occur on Friday and Monday, July 28 and 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P1AA
Route 1 (62/62.2) – Bridge work in Fort Bragg from Manzanita Street to Pudding Creek Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. can expect up to 20-minute delays Monday through Friday and 30-minute delays are anticipated on the weekends. LC#C1OB
Route 20 (20/24) – Tree work west of Three Chop Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C20BA
U.S. 101 (3/5.9) – Road work from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge continues. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101KC
U.S. 101 (33.7/43.2) – Paving work south of Willits from Route 20 to Uva Drive in Redwood Valley will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#M101Q
U.S. 101 (42.3/44.9) – Emergency work in Willits from Water Plant Road to the East Hill Undercrossing continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101ND
U.S. 101 (82.4) – Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through December 2023. LC#T101GA
U.S. 101 (101.9/102.4) – Culvert work south of Piercy at Route 271 will begin on Friday, July 28. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101ED
U.S. 101 (104.2/104.7) – Culvert work in Piercy north of Exit 627 continues. Lane closures will be in effect from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101ED
U.S. 101 (106.2/.8) – Bridge work from the Lowell Allen Memorial Bridge to Route 271 continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists can expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101JD
U.S. 101 (106.5/.9) – Emergency work between Piercy and Benbow near Milkyway Loop Road continues. One-way traffic control is in effect and motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#T101IA
Route 128 (28/28.7) – Utility work in Boonville at Road 150 will occur on Monday, July 31. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P128BA
Route 128 (40/40.8) – Utility work near Yorkville west of Big Oaks Drive will occur on Tuesday, August 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#P128BA
Route 162 (11/12.6) – Road work south of Dos Rios near the Rodeo Creek Bridge continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C162GA
Route 162 (16.6) – Emergency work west of Laytonville Dos Rios Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#T162BA

Route 271 (1.7/2.3) – Paving work from north of Squaw Creek to south of Big Bend Lodge Road will begin on Wednesday, August 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C271KA
Route 271 (15.8/20.4) – Culvert work in Piercy from south of Bear Pen Road to north of County Road 442B continues. A full lane closure is in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C271EA
