According to a Facebook post from the Bullhead City Police Department, at 5:49 p.m. on that day, a woman called 911 crying out for help in the 3700 block of Rawhide Drive in Bullhead City, Arizona. Near the same time, the emergency dispatch center received another call reporting that a man was stabbing a woman.
Officers responded to the scene and found Aaron Michael Bryant, age 31, of Eureka, California injured by a gunshot wound allegedly from a male neighbor. They also found two stabbing victims–both allegedly fatally stabbed by Bryant.
According to a report in the Mohave Daily News, Bryant and the two victims, Tom and Annette Hinton got into an argument and then Bryant stabbed the male victim, Tom Edward Hinton, age 62, and then he stabbed Annette Lee Hinton, age 59.
The Mohave Daily News states that according to scanner traffic at the time,
Officers on scene requested medical assistance. On arrival, medics requested air medical transport and took one patient directly to the helipad at Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave.
About 6:03 p.m., police reported to dispatch that one person was dead.
Crime scene tape was placed in front of and around the home initially reported as the address of the stabbing as well as the home next door. Police cars blocked [the] entrance to the street. Officers were observed Friday evening canvassing neighbors and gathering evidence.
Animal Care and Welfare officers also responded and removed a dog from the home originally reported as the site of the stabbing.
The Bullhead Police have Aaron Michael Bryant in custody and are charging him with two homicides.
According to Tom Hinton’s Facebook page, he went to Fortuna Union High School and previously owned a pizza parlor in the town. Our condolences to the numerous friends and family in our area he and Annette Hinton left behind.

We knew both victims. Good people, and such very sad news. It’s shocking.
That’s a long way to drive and stab two people… Bryant must have some serious issues…
Issues can be something he was handling as well , i find it amusing that people can treat others so badly at times and when the true victim decides enough is enough and does something about something that it is the victim who is accused and the victim that has the issue’s . The law really isnt set up to protect the true victims so much as it is there for the appearance of the law being able to do anything at all in the first place.
You have much possibly secret background information on this incident. Spill it.
Sounds like a drug issue, I don’t think that was anyone’s fault but his own. Too bad this hard working couple had to pay the price , their family will miss them dearly. Is the death penalty still rolling in Arizona?
No. You might find this interesting but….The death penalty is legal and on the books in AZ. However…the newly inaugurated governor Katie Hobbs – a DEM who came into office January 2023 ordered a review of the death penalty protocols and in light of that, newly inaugurated attorney general Kris Mayes issued a hold on any executions in the state. Similar to CA the DEMs have found a way to stop it while it is still the will of the voters to retain it….( No no I’m not a REP by a long stretch but I sure can’t stand any party going against the voters and these DEMs sure do it a lot while pretending to not)
Will the death penalty bring either of these people back to life?
Will it help prevent ctimes like this in the future?
Is the death penalty really anything more than vengeance? And is veangeance really a value we should be promoting?
The death penalty is revenge not justice.
If you take a life. And it’s premeditated proven murder.
Then life for a life . Keep it simple
Yes, there are things worst than death and sitting in a jail cell for rest of your life is one of them
The only thing the death penalty typically accomplishes is costing taxpayers even more than it costs to simply incarcerate murderers for life.
But that’s only because of all the waiting, legal procedures, red tape, etc. The actual process of putting them down shouldn’t cost too much more than a veterinarian visit for the same purpose, about $100… much less than life in prison. OK maybe more for a human doctor or two and coroner… still, nowhere near the cost of the alternative.
So when it’s legal, with of course the caveat that the crime must be proven without a shadow of a doubt– DNA evidence, unforced confession, etc.– why not just get to it? You could even say that the waiting for it could be cruel and unusual punishment.
So, should I put you down as a vote for vengeance?
I don’t keep a binary, black-and-white score card on people. If you do, you go ahead and put me wherever your imagination wants to.
So, you’re all for every government program that ever existed but we should cut through the red tape when it comes to putting human beings to death and “just get to it”? Brilliant! You are wrong about everything.
BTW, did your mother’s brother’s fifth cousins aunt from Ukraine enlighten you on the FACT that there are ACTIUAL Nazis fighting in Ukraine? And despite what Rachel Maddow says, there’s no real Nazi contingency here.
Exactly.
The death penalty isn’t a punishment. It is an easy way out for the convicted. We put our pets and family members to sleep so they don’t suffer. The death penalty is no punishment.
This guy can be rehabilitated with 30 years of intimate cell time. Much better than any death penalty, just make sure your in the correct inmate gang. Then after 30 years inside, the current society will run right over his old arse.
No. Yes. No. Sometimes.
Farce- not trying to dig on you but if you would do some reading on the death penalty, and put yourself in the shoes of someone or someone’s family who had been put to death wrongly; I think you would think differently on government sanctioned murder. It has happened many times. The justice system is not perfect. Could you imagine losing, say, your child or wife and then be wrongly sentenced to die for it? It has happened. Better to not let the government kill people, as a hard rule. I think if you did some research instead of talking out of your indignation, you might see what I’m saying.
I knew Annette from title company, she was a helpful and a kind person. Condolences to the family.
I’ve done lots of research, thank you. I’m also very tired of folks like you with your Misplaced Compassion theories. I’ve made many comments here about tightening up the process but when somebody tortures and kills innocent people and they are obviously guilty then we should not be spending scarce resources on keeping them fed, clothed and sheltered for decades while we allow innocent children and vets to live on the streets w/ inadequate health care because… we don’t have enough resources!
I did not know Annette and I’m sorry for your loss. I don’t see any reason to derail this thread into another capital punishment debate. I know why I stand where I do. And when the people vote for it we should not squelch their vote.
Oops- just saw above we are already derailed! Sorry if I did that. Honestly I try to keep the politics out when there’s an article about local’s death. I didn’t know them but it sounds like many do and I sure didn’t mean any disrespect. Sounds like some nice people got taken out and that is a heartbreak….
Why would anyone want to put someone down the way we put down our beloved pets? The death penalty is not punishment.
Take a life, get automatic life in jail, unless it is proven to be self-defense.
Ot drug use lack of mental illness medication
Are you suggesting the dead are somehow the responsible parties here?
So that justifies stabbing two people to death?
Stabbing two people to death in a modern suburban setting does not fit your fan-fic scenario.
Bryant was not a slave who had to kill to escape. He drove all the way down there. If there was a problem, he could have called a priest or the police.
Some problems the police can’t/won’t help. Some problems the priest might be the last one you should call.
Driving that distance, or also residing in the same super specific new location prior to stabbing these two, in a suburban location implies a very unique scenario indeed. There is, what would you say, a high likelihood of a motive?
Maybe it’s completely random, and a resident of Bayshore Estates just happened to ride his BMX all the way to Bullhead City on a crystal bender, pausing to double murder only when he recognized a familiar car dealership name on the license plate frame.
He did not drive here Tommy helped him get hear and let him live with them and this is what the asshole did to say thank you. Life in person no parole
Well, thank you for that clue. The whole thing seems bizarre and with plenty of unanswered questions.
Nothing about this is amusing. Regardless of how it began.
I’m sorry but you do not know anything about Tom and Annette. They were always helping people as they were in this situation. They helped him and so many others. Yes, he had issues but Tom and Annette were helping him. They have children and grandchildren so please be kind.
Thank you you are right
1- the person has to want the help provided.
2-this was completely pre-meditated.
Also, no one deserves to die unless they are a pedophile.
The true victim? You know absolutely nothing about these people or this situation. I hope you enjoy all the attention you are getting at the expense of the family left grieving for this loss. Your attention seeking comment is pathetic and disgusting.
Unless he was in immediate life danger there is zero plausible reasoning for murdering anyone. ?♀️
I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, the abundance of people in our culture who support the death penalty shows that a large section of society still thinks that killing a person who poses no immediate threat can still be justified. Until we can change that mentality, I’m afraid we’re stuck with this cycle of violence.
No immediate threat??? He just stabbed two innocent people to death!
What I believe D’Tucker is saying is that someone in jail is not likely to be much danger to society as long as he is there.
When you cage or kill the violent person, you’ve broke the cycle. Especially when a machine performs the injection. More drugs America please, perfect example of happy pills short term fix. Psych meds are legal speed and never do any good.
Umm…so somehow being in favor of capital punishment for murderers helps to support more violence and murders? You are….disconnected in your line of logic, bro. And reeking of Misplaced Compassion…
Yes details please
Are you joking???? “The true victim decides enough is enough and does something about it?!” Wow.. you are seriously calling the murderer the victim? They were a sweet retired couple that offered this kid a fresh start out of humboldt. Maybe don’t open your mouth when you have no idea.
Um, I can’t make sense of this. Try again in the morning.
He did not drive there
My condolences to the family of Tom and Annette. I knew Annette when she worked for a local title company and she was such a very nice person and I am so sorry for your loss.
Thank you neighbor, you foiled this mass stabbers getaway, thank God you have a gun.
Everyone in AZ has guns laying around the house. On the couch, in the cubbard, in the bedroom. Its a heavily armed state and the no of gun incidents is very high. They dont report the no of people suspended or expelled for concealed carrying at the local high school. Its one a month or more. Dudes with pistols dangling from their sweatpants “waistband” are lined up at the Tucson walmart. Its all suns out guns out in AZ. Even the Dems are armed to the teeth in AZ. Dont bring a sword to a fight in Arizona. Yeehaw!
Good deal, only way to deal with stabby people, how many knife incidents go unreported?
I knew Aaron Bryant from 2nd grade on & I am super shocked by this .! HES A GOOD DUDE! He’s a hard worker & I could never see him doing this , not saying that he didn’t but I bet u , theirs some type of trauma involved here
Yeah, brain trauma from all the meth.
No not meth hard up bringing. Think before u speak odviously u have no idea what ur talking about
My heart goes out to everyone involved. I didn’t know the victims but everything I’ve heard they were amazing generous people. I’ve k ow Arron since they day he was born. I don’t condone his actions what so ever but I do know that he’s had mental issues all his life. He was not on his medication for what reason I don’t know but the boy I knew if being in his right mind wouldn’t of hurt anyone.
Ooooh, Marsha – how well do you actually know Aaron? I mean, have you seen his most recent tiktok posting?? Have a look: @aaronbryant98 and tell me he doesn’t have pre-meditated murder in his heart. He was just looking for a reason to harm someone and when someone called him out for his bs, he grabbed a knife and started swinging. FACTS. Have a little respect for the victims before you tell us all what a decent guy this MURDERER is.

Wow. That stuff makes me want to start a public service campaign of some sort. If a person is that set on violence and working off steam, why not ensure that he applies that nihilistic urge where it would do the most good? Instead of onto innocent others.
Well…we used to send them into the military…
My words were that the boy I’ve known all his life was a very kind boy. Had saying that when someone is mentally I’ll and having the worst case of illness he had he wasn’t in his right mind. Going off his medication was the worst thing he could of ever done. Being off mental illness medication no one thinks right. I have nothing but the ut most respect for the victims I couldn’t imagine what the family is going through. I’ve lost a child so I do know the loss in my heart. Have u ever dealt with a kid that has had mental problems? I bet not. Yes he chose to be off his meds and yes he made the decision to do what he did and I don’t condone that but what I will say again is that if he would of been taking his medication he wouldn’t of made these choices. There are so many broken people from this. My hearts hurts for them so by no means am I putting on my Pom poms and being team Aaron let’s get this straight. But I will hope that he gets the help he needs. We all know he will be locked up for the rest of his life as well as he should be. He won’t have the chance to quit taken his meds and hurt anyone else or himself.
Posting crazy violent stuff on social media is a cry for help. We do not have enough funding for mental health It would do us well to have better mental health care. This is where my complaint with Misplaced Compassion lies. Perhaps if all the funds spent keeping brutal murderers alive for decades is instead spent on mental health we can do better as a society and head off more powderkegs that are about to explode…
100% but the doctors around here don’t care ur a number not a person
Annette and I started working for the same company at the same time. I spoke to her every day. She was so sweet. I truly miss her. I cant imagine what her family is going through. my heart breaks for them all.
Please be kind as I am sure they read these comments.
