$10,000 Reward for Missing 60-Year-Old in Trinity County

A $10,000 reward is now being offered for a 60-year-old man who went missing near Weaverville.
In June, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department reported that Frederick “Kevin” Montes was likely traveling on foot and possibly carrying a greyish backpack.
Today, the following press release from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Department was posted:
A reward is being offered in the amount of $10,000.00, for any information leading to the whereabouts of Frederick Montes. The reward shall not be given unless the information provided, specifically leads to Montes.
The information can be left in an anonymous fashion on the Trinity County Secret Witness line, which can be reached by dialing 530-623-8121. If those leaving information would like contact back, please leave a telephone number.

When and where and who was he last spoken to and officially seen? Does he have an active bank account and if so has he used it since gone missing?
Maybe if the reward were offered right away, people might have remembered something. It’s now more than two months since he was last seen….
