Yup, heard the sirens from the house, watched the air ambulance fly by, were they wine tasting? And BTW, that crash site and winey is located in Nice.
heavy traffic all the way across the lake area highway 20 at one time I had 24 cars behind me
As a firefighter, I was to a few too many accidents where the car hit something that caused the airbags to go off. The bag would blow-up in the drivers face, blow their hands off the steering wheel, and stun the driver. Then the car would careen off to hit something else or end up going over a bank or into a field.
I firmly believe that when the air bags go off it should lock up the brakes.
Ernie, you have brought up a very interesting point. I agree with you that when your airbags inflate due to an accident the brakes should be locked up to keep the vehicle from travelling any farther. I wonder if any of the various auto makers have thought of this? Thank you for being a firefighter!
See Bartlett Springs Road … this is from the top when it snows. The town of Lucerne is below
