Road Closure Area on 299 Changes

Press release from Caltrans:

Beginning August 30 at 5 p.m., the west end closure on State Route 299 will be moved approximately four miles east near Mill Camp Road in Burnt Ranch. The closure on the east side of State Route 299 near Helena remains in place.

Access through the area continues during the daytime at 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. with only residents being allowed access during the nighttime hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with proof of address.

Caltrans and its contractors continue to work to repair fire damage caused by the Monument Fire and make the SR-299 corridor safe once again for travel.
