UPDATE 2:35 p.m.: Amy Conlin from Humboldt Bay Fire tells us that, according to the Volt driver, he was driving south on F and the driver of the truck was heading east on Dollison and then turned north on F into the wrong lane. The Volt driver attempted to slip out of the way but clipped the truck. The truck then went into the house.

Especially trying to get it fixed Thanksgiving week. It’s a cute, well maintained house too. Sorry folks.

Truck versus Volt, and then on the same day truck versus Prius. Oh the irony of good versus “evil”?

About 1/4 of the drivers around here are just plain stupid. And I’m being nice.

there’s an old saying, the damage you cause by avoiding another car, might just cost your insurance company and you might be at fault.

That literally just happened to me a few days ago. Being a responsible member of society can hurt sometimes.

Trucks don’t crash into houses , people do.

Stop blaming inanimate objects, or is the agenda to confiscate pick-ups, as well?

Incorporating rocks into landscaping can be your best defense against people trying to take short cuts through your property, goes for city people too.

Oh, man. What an especially unfortunate time to have a giant west-facing hole in your house. Glad no one was hurt.
