Two Sought in Humboldt County Drug Task Force Investigation of Methamphetamine Distribution

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On August 12th, 2019, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Special Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 5100 block of Walnut Drive, Eureka. During their multi-week investigation, agents received information that the resident, Maria Salas Camacho (age 53), is distributing large amounts of methamphetamine throughout Humboldt County. Camacho’s associate, Richard Dean Langdon (age 62) is also believed to be involved in Camacho’s operation.

Upon arrival, agents learned that Camacho and Langdon were not on scene and had left prior to the warrant being served. Agents located a trailer on the property that appeared to serve as a weigh station for methamphetamine distribution. This location was monitored via remote surveillance system. Inside the trailer agents located several digital scales, packaging material, and other items associated with methamphetamine distribution. booking photo of Richard Dean LangdonAgents continued their search and located approximately ½ pound of suspected methamphetamine buried on the property. In addition, agents located illegally possessed prescription narcotics and ammunition. Both Camacho and Langdon are previously convicted felons who are prohibited from possessing ammunition.

Agents have since secured a Ramey Warrant through the Humboldt County Superior Court for Camacho and Langdon. The charges on the warrant include possession of controlled substances for sales and illegal possession of ammunition.

Anyone with information related to this investigation or other narcotics related crimes are encouraged to call the Humboldt County Drug Task Force at 707-267-9976 or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 707-268-2539.

Dealers wouldn’t leave a half pound of meth buried in the yard.
Either they got wind of what was happening… or they were just er… ‘out’ at a convenient time.

Perhaps if they had watched Air America instead, they would have known enough to apply for one of those government-sanctioned trafficking networks.

Nice work LEOs!!! More of the cartel distribution being rolled up.

In a sane world these creeps would still be in prison for the crimes for which they’ve already been convicted. However, thanks to crime friendly California politicians (almost exclusively in the Democratic party) and naive voters supporting deceptively named ballot measures, these outstanding folks are out poisoning your neighbors, sons, and daughters.

Time to Walk Away from the politicians who value criminals more than law abiding citizens. Send a message this next election cycle and stop voting for politicians from the far left posing as Democrats.

??Well it’s apparent who’s side your on,and it’s the losing side. I do agree we need to pass stricter laws but we lack space to house them. You can blame it on the Democrats all day long but it boils down to housing.

no it doesn’t willi. We have plenty of housing in state and federal prisons. Send them where they belong. California Democrats protect drug addicts, thieves , and murderers. Like many…. I’m sick n tired of people Like this. Humboldt/California merry go round.

LOL

Get real.

The reason that California had to pull the “reallignment” crap has nothing to do with “Liberals” or “Democrats” and everything to do with Ken Lay, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael “Junk Bond King For Life” Milken and other scumbags who literally stole billions (9 of them in fact) from California taxpayers who were forced to make good the losses incurred during the phony “energy crisis” of 2001 brought on by a bunch of REPUBLICAN SCUM.

A source is a source, my horseface liar:

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2005/feb/05/enron.usnews

https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2005-jul-16-fi-enron16-story.html

(oops. Sorry. California taxpayers “only” got screwed out of 7.5 billion since Schwarzenazi (source: https://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/04/national/schwarzenegger-releases-data-on-hitler-comments.html ) let them “settle” their debt for pennies on the dollar.

It wasn’t Republicans or even Schwarzenegger who created that amount in the settlement- it was (according to your links Vote Smart being reliable ) the bankruptcy court judge who reduced the $1.5 billion settlement. Probably because that was all there was to get.

“Enron gave the money to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, an organization that aids Senate Democratic candidates. But Robert Bennett Robert Bennett , a Washington attorney representing Enron, said the contributions were business as usual, and were not intended to influence impending congressional investigations into the company’s dramatic collapse.” “”Donations of this type reflect certain political realities which are followed by all major corporations,” Bennett told the Associated Press, referring to Enron’s $50,000 checks issued on Nov. 25 and Nov. 26, just a week before Enron filed for bankruptcy protection on Dec. 2. ” https://www.forbes.com/2001/12/27/1127topnews.html#302a91ba6042

The reality to be faced is that money follows power like a dog follows a bitch in heat. And which bitch is doesn’t matter. Which is why following the meetings with contributors BEFORE voting in more important than party affiliation voting.

Liberals are very wound up. It’s how they communicate there denial and frustrations. Watch. If joe Biden/ Bernie Sanders gets elected are you going to see a bunch of republicans running around spitting on POC, burning flags, rioting, breaking glass in democratic offices, assaulting people, and blaming there misfortunes on “nazis”? No. You won’t. We will just be sitting back cleaning our firearms and waiting for the [edit] to turn this country into the next Guatemala or Venezuela. Hope you like free government cheese….

The heroin and meth. dealers are so sneaky.

They have been trying this new thing where a car that you’ve never seen before will stop somewhere suspiciously, then a flurry of transient appearing pedestrians and transient appearing people on bicycles show up at the same time. Very fast, if you blinked, you’d almost miss it.

And then they all disappear, as quickly as they came.

I’ve seen it in Redway at the north end transient “city”. Free phones and needles only exasperate the problem. We as a society got to make sure that dealers, pushers and addicts all stay in touch. It used to be a needles EXCHANGE program, now there just free, because we care ssssoooooo much that they don’t give each other HIV and hep c. Enabling? I’ll let you decide.

Wow!

Taking issue with “Press Release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force:”

Kym Kemp. I’m personally calling you out on this one.
HOW can you pass republishing a drug task force press release verbatim as journalism? The HCDTF is an interested party, not a neutral, disinterested journalist. Your publication is merely a propaganda machine if its not checking facts and adding the insight we expect from a journalist of your high caliber.

Anytime law enforcement gets a Ramey warrant in a case not involving violence, citizens, especially journalists in the free press, should be suspicious because the District Attorney’s case screening process and the interests of justice that accompany prosecutorial discretion are being bypassed by law enforcement for some insider’s personal campaign. This a case involving mere statutory possession crimes unknown to the common law, not a murder case or a case in which further great bodily injury might occur to someone absent a prosecutorial bypass. And no follow-up has been done to publish the fact that Maria Camacho turned herself in at the Humboldt County jail the very next day, depriving some young go-getter of a pat on the back and a feather in his cap; not to mention Ms. Camacho has a note on her jail file saying “no bail allowed” even though the SCHEDULE of BAIL adopted by the Humboldt County Superior Court states that in a case where the lead charge carries a max term of 3 years bail is set by default to $25,000. Maybe Ms. Camacho doesn’t have a spin doctor on her payroll and auto-publication through your website like the HCDTF. Barf….

First time here?

Michael, Redheaded Blackbelt is mostly one person. I publish press releases multiple times a day usually–clearly marked and with the statement at the top that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty (I think I’m the only local news media that does that.) I do not do that as JOURNALISM. It clearly isn’t. I do that to provide information to my readers. I do my best to make it known that the Sheriff’s Department is providing their version of events and I’m merely sharing it and I have not checked it for facts. (Note that press releases are published in a different format with a different color background and stripe down the side–again I believe I am the only news media that does this.)

Now, I don’t like that I rarely get to provide the defendants’ sides. But, do you know how many times I’ve talked to defendants only to have their attorneys ask that they not tell their story publicly? Now, if Maria Camacho or her attorney would like to speak to me, even to just send out a press release, my email is [email protected]

I may be wrong…but I’m betting no one contacts me.

EDIT: And I owe you an apology. I had someone helping me who posted this and he didn’t put the innocent until proven guilty writing at the beginning. I’ve remedied that. And, your client has my deepest apologies…that was a bad mistake on our part.
