‘In the Weeds’: The California Department of Justice Looks at CAMP

On January 16, the California Department of Justice posted this video promoting CAMP on YouTube. They stated,

The Illegal cannabis grows on California lands are damaging wildlife habitats, poisoning our water, and hurting our communities. Watch as our CAMP team travels across California to investigate and crack down on these illegal grow sites.

In November, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who heads the Department of Justice, authorized a press release stating that CAMP had “eradicated 953,459 marijuana plants from 345 raided grow sites across the state.” The press release also stated that 148 individuals had been arrested and “168 weapons were seized throughout the raids.”

Last year’s seizures were about up over 2018 (about 600,000 plants were taken and 52 people were arrested that year.) However, this was considerably down from the 4.5 million plants CAMP stated they eradicated in 2009 and 4.3 million in 2010.

IF it were 100% trespass grows and 0% market protection for former mega growers (now legal) we would all celebrate them, as it is I hope they all get cancer.

Want to be meaner? You could hope that they get a long-suffering incurable “auto-immune” or neurological condition… Or Lyme. Then they might really be in a world of hurt. And forgotten. I digress.

The irony of the Attorney General’s claim is that every type of cannabis-related permit holder from distro to farmer is “pay to play.” The black market welcomes them with open arms.

If it wasn’t for a strong black market the permit holders would have been belly up long ago. You can’t continue to keep afloat if you had to sell all your weed legally. It is pay to play, that’s why there’s nothing but mafia left exporting all that cash out of area. Nice job supervisors. Your shortcomings are upon you and humboldt county soon enough. Green ghetto is all that is left.

Whoa poisoning our water that sounds really freaking bad ! Has any testing or documentation shown this poison in “our water” supply? I can only find documentation of poison in our water supply from DuPont 😐.

https://toxicfreefuture.org/key-issues/chemicals-of-concern/pfas-nonstick-nightmare/

———-
https://www.ewg.org/research/national-pfas-testing/

“Based on our tests and new academic research that found PFAS widespread in rainwater, EWG scientists now believe PFAS is likely detectable in all major water supplies in the U.S., almost certainly in all that use surface water. EWG’s tests also found chemicals from the PFAS family that are not commonly tested for in drinking water.

Forever Chemicals’

PFAS are known as “forever chemicals” because once released into the environment they do not break down, and they build up in our blood and organs. Exposure to PFAS increases the risk of cancer, harms the development of the fetus and reduces the effectiveness of vaccines. Biomonitoring studies by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that the blood of nearly all Americans is contaminated with PFAS.
The most notorious PFAS compounds are PFOA, formerly used by DuPont to make Teflon, and PFOS, formerly an ingredient in 3M’s Scotchgard. Those compounds have been phased out under pressure from the EPA, but they persist in drinking water, people and the environment. In EWG’s tests, PFOA was detected in 30 of 44 samples, and PFOS in 34 samples. The two compounds represented approximately a quarter of the total PFAS level in each sample.
EWG has mapped PFAS contamination of drinking water or ground water in almost 1,400 sites in 49 states. Previously, our analysis of unpublished EPA data estimates that water supplies for 110 million Americans may be contaminated with PFAS – an estimate that could be much too low, based on our new findings.

The EPA was first alerted to the problem of PFAS in drinking water in 2001 but in almost 20 years has failed to set an enforceable, nationwide legal limit. In 2016, the agency issued a non-enforceable lifetime health advisory for PFOA and PFOS in drinking water of 70 ppt. Independent scientific studies have recommended a safe level for PFAS in drinking water of 1 ppt, which is endorsed by EWG.”

As for water destruction claims, they are entirely false on purpose. The point of making that lie is to indirectly admit water destruction committed in an ongoing and constant manner by local and state government officials and workers. Take for example the heavy prolific problem of putting glysophate in the community water reservoirs, which is a hyper-accelerant for all types of cancer to manifest in living organisms. Then, as another example, there is that nasty diotoic or whatever acid that is dangerous, deadly, and a neurotoxin that has plagued the whole coastline of the Pacific side of the United States. Then, furthermore, there are the toxins the authorities claim are coming from Farmers spewing into the streams. Maybe somewhat, but not at all by far the main factor in the toxins for the waterways. Let’s face it, the government hates human life. It is a true fact. Nobody admits it. Those assholes destroy humanity in a very frightening cult-like fashion. Abortion to prevent life from teeming over the continent, protecting predators of both human and animal types, destroying marijuana, needlessly constantly sacrificing soldiers in pointless wars designed to accomplish perpetual bloodshed, water destruction.

I think all the extensive mining, logging, and farming done the most damage to rivers and waterways. Now they can just play the blame game since it’s already ruined…. poor watersheds…

The same year of 2009, where CAMP claim 4.5 million plants, feds claimed they took 7.5 million plants.

So that’s 12 million plants in one year, compared to 2018’s 2.4 million claim (CAMP + feds).

Have state and fed seizures really dropped 80%? Seems hard to believe.

(Numbers from https://www.canorml.org/judicial/camp-campaign-against-marijuana-planting/ )

Where’s the state funded propaganda videos of it’s already,”regulated” wine industry poisoning the water sheds legally and giving kids in counties like Sonoma and Napa the 3rd highest cancer rate in the state? Probably won’t see that one popping up any time soon. Here’s another good one. How about they make another propaganda video 10 years from now after the , “regulated” weed market has wiped out and gentrified most of northern CA. Then on the next episode they can go over how they have and will most likely do just as much ecological damage on the white market side of the paradigm.
Most media these days is a mind warp.

Our new LLC neighbor tried to build a road through our place. We showed them where our survey markers are so he moved the road to trespass on 2 adjoining properties. He then built an unpermitted bridge over a creek that flows through our land. Next two 400′ long hoop houses were built, flowering weed plants in grow bags moved in, all right next to our fence line. Two Spanish speaking workers lived there until the weed was ready for harvest and then a large crew of nearly 20 moved in. Nothing was done legally. They harvested and left for the winter. Now there are piles of downed trees and garbage, chemical containers and human shit all over the ground near the creek that serves as drinking water for many families downstream. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife including bears, lions, deer, fisher, other rodents and birds. The local sheriff’s department and CA Water Board both told us it was too late in the season to bother to check the site, “Call us when they start up again.” How do I know it is human shit contaminating the creek? Bears may shit in the woods, but bears don’t use toilet paper.

The county has seriously dropped the ball and actually made things worse.
Humboldt county officials, if you want to see who is operating WITHOUT a state license, get on Instagram and search hash tags like #humboldtcounty #humboldt #permittedfarm #humboldtpermittedfarm #lightdep

Not surprised in the least bit. In this county all you have to do is submit a site plan and your up and running. No oversite for at least 3 years. Run your scene like a complete asshole , neighbors complain, so what. I’d like to slap all of the BOS , the planning dept and code Enforcement up side the head.
It’s obvious that all they care about is collecting fees and taxes. And the State? A bunch of clowns.

In the rush by “legalites” to enforce their will upon their neighbors, several things about the cause and effect got forgotten or at least re-worded to sound OK. The need to enact prohibition on others swamped the “legal” side of the balance.

As we can understand from this link … Cannabis and it’s consumers are innocent. The new breed of “Industry Control” is broken, flopped, produced nothing of value. The Control has only been able to punish and tax.

The sooner we can repeal $64 the better our World.

The Biggest Glaring Mistake that the BOS made was ASSUMING GOOD FAITH and adherence to the ordinances by the legal growers. Big surprise, most are not.
This dumbass assumption is why neighborhoods are having to suffer at the hands of rogue legal growers.
Why did they use tax dollars to purchase a fancy real-time satalite program? They don’t seem to use it for PERMITTED GROW oversite at all. Maybe it’s because the skeleton crews for the planning dept and Code Inforcement don’t have time..
Thanks assholes, my neighborhood is ruined….

I never received a letter informing me of my neighbors application to run a COMMERCIAL business in my neighborhood, where people actually live. I was never given chance to give my input. My neighborhood is worse than ever. If you do not have a cannabis permit on your land, its time to have the tax collector reassess our land value. Its worth nothing now and I will never be able to sell because of all the shit that happens on the daily. Maybe a class action lawsuit is in order. We should sue the county for ruining our living situation and crashing our land prices.

I was wondering about my land value now also. Who wants to live near an asshole legal grow if I should decide to sell. Why are permits allowed in residential areas. This grow near me has changed everything about the area. As icing on the cake, their land value has been quadrupled since it now has a “permit in process”.
Talk about fucked up.

What is amazing to me is the “fuck you I’ve got a permit ” attitude that most legal growers have. And the county’s “fuck you they’ve got a permit” attitude that lets them get away with their abuse of their neighbors. It’s a weird symbiotic relationship.
What I really love is when the property owners/permit holders live in LA or New York and send random assholes to work their properties and the steady stream of foreign workers that ensues.
Nothing against foreigners but it’s jobs not given to locals who are actually living here. When this happens there is a total disconnect from the people that live near these grows, usually people that have been in the area for ever.
It feels like a county sanctioned takeover of sorts.

The BOS turned things into a joke for sure, maybe thay don’t realize it cause there so conceided they can’t see there toes when they piss.not sure what’s more of a problem, the locals who can’t buy food, gas, clothes&almost every other living expense.or the foreigners shittn in the drinking water.maybe they should send in the off duty super cops dea/feds to do a unsigned warrant raid/robbery&run them out there homes.or just re alot there property&give the part they grow on to the redwoods league.wut ever they decide won’t have any thought for the ppl who live in the hills, just them&there helicopter governing..I wish I had $20,000,000 from grandma ide be Alex Moore’s biggest rival from connecticut.
