Miranda Market Hosting Seed Swap on February 20th

This is a press release from the seed swap organizers:

This is our first Seed Swap.  We know that the buying seeds from seed companies is costly.  Most seed packages cost $3 to $4 per package.  This cost discourages people from starting food gardens.

We all save money if we exchange our seeds.  We help our community by giving seeds to people who can not afford to buy seeds.

By growing back yard  food gardens we all eat healthier foods.  By growing flowers we feed beneficial insects.

Everyone is invited to the seed swap.

If a person does not have seeds we encourage them to come and get seeds.

People should bring small envelopes for the seeds they collect and a pen for labeling.

I’m a big fan of Rare Seeds Dot Com….

Their color catalog is free for mailing and is a must have for every gardener that actually grows food plants.

Probably there will be some lost souls that worship at the alter of The Golden Pitbull.

I did pick up purple Egyptian snow peas and pink celery this year from Rareseeds.
