Today was the Last Day of Operation Greenwave in Humboldt County

Lt. Fridley of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office commented on the convoys reported today in Honeydew, Fruitland Ridge, Twin Trees and more in the comment sections.  Fridley says these were marijuana eradication efforts in the final three days of Operation Greenwave for 2019.

Fridley says Greensweep mirrors actions that have been ongoing in Humboldt County over the past few years, but that this year the National Guard organized Operation Greenwave here and around the state with multi-agency teams to focus on sites they feel are causing environmental harm.

Fridley said only two of the sites they went to this week were traditional outdoor cultivation.  The rest, he said, are mixed light operations that the teams feel cause more environmental harm because they continue to take water from the ecosystem and continue to discharge amendments and sediment to the waterways for a longer period in the year.

Fridley said the mixed use sites also use greenhouses for which they ‘blade off the hillside” on which to place those greenhouses; and “dam up the streams for water.”

Such misinformation is designed to get growers feeling complacent.
No law enforcement agency ever stopped coming for those they consider miscreants.

Just wait until it’s federally legal. You think the state and county can mess things up. We will find out how bad the feds deal with things. The little plant that could and should bring peace and freedom awareness and unity. Has been turned into a tool to divide and conquer more corporate greed police and military intervention then ever. The main goal of the back-to-the-Land hippies to be left alone grow and smoke there pot and share food with family and friends what a mess this has turned into. The green rushers are being swallowed up by the Green Wave in the name of environmental damage whats next we give the oil and coal industries over 20 billion dollars in subsidies

A total mess JD! Biden’s plan to legalize is an absolute Disaster. Essentially handing everything straight to the pharmaceutical pill pushers. ‘The lil plant that could’ deserves better.. TY JD! Yeah, sometimes it blows my mind what a monster the whole sherade has become.. Many elements do not reflect the whole ‘back to the land’ rootsy earth vibes it once was.. What ever happened to peace, love and understanding? It’s definitely gone to a most insane chapter of the book.. but hey the end is unwritten right? GlLuck out there JD. THX 4 ur words and Bless!

fraud, deceit and illusion is where the herd is. I don’t see SmallFry as a part of the herd mentality problem, rather –part of the solution. So, dream is really a better word than illusion, in this instance. I think you’ll agree.

I see U.S. Citizen as an illusion. Based on fact. That could become a dream into reality. Freeing of slaves and all that.

The legacy of the “back the landers” has been to alter the landscape in Humboldt in unacceptable ways: diverting streams, using toxic fertilizers, and many hoping to make much more than a “living.”
Wish the hippies had never set foot here.

Wow, National Guard targeting Mom and Pop Cannabis farmers greenhouses all in the name of environmentalism….. sounds like a ruse to me 100%…. National Guard does not care about the environment…. this is a ruse. The real reason for the busts is to offset the black market and send the prices soaring for Greasy Gavin Newsoms Capitalist grower buddies who are being handed our industry by the state and the state sponsored militias like operation Green thief….

What’s not legal is people squatting on land that isnt theirs, setting up green houses, growing 3 thousand plants, taking water from the river, throwing trash in the river, using chemicals that end up in the water.

IFF you feel compelled to autograph your sign of nature (signature), d o w n on a piece of corporation paper, ALWAYS reserve your rights. Before your autograph, put “Signed Under Duress”. Or, Without Prejudice”.. Or, three dots . . .

~i’m more for advising to STOP signing the name you go by. We need a Recorder. We (Humboldt), ain’t had one since December 15, 1992. Anyway, if we do an elect or recall via a county recording into the Public Domain, i’d feel more secure about the whole voting debacle.

The ‘corporation’ ended in 1999, CH.
It was so cleanly ended that even the unconstitutional laws, acts, treaties, loans, etc were obliterated.
The problem is, the they don’t want us to know that.
You know this, surely. If I know it, you know it. You follow all this carp like a cat follows a laser.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Learn the Constitution people. It’s the job description for your employees aka govt officials.
The BOR is an example list of what individual rights are, lest tyrants brainwash us into forgetting.

Get out of the foxhole, the war is over. We won.
Awaken the masses. Don’t let them ‘feel’ defeated by the goings on of the past. Our future depends on it.
Get up! Stand up! Stand up for your rights.

Their argument that mixed light causes more water related damage is not true. The water usage in a GH in the fall is much less than the legacy 10’ diameter beasts that needs far more water in the fall when the river flows are at the lowest. Mixed light also uses more water in the spring than outdoor, when the creek levels are higher.

Admittedly, I know very little about the legalities of what you are advocating but I think that this is one of those cases where the law trumps common sense. From what I understand, rain water belongs to everyone especially those downstream from you and you cannot harness it unless you have some type of grandfathered water rights.

Buster. Your wrong, it is legal to harvest rainwater in the state of California. From what I understand. In some cases it’s even insentivised. It’s the building of the storage, is where it’s regulated..

Why is it only cannabis that must forego surface water diversions? No other agriculturally produced commodity, product or good is subject to this standard. I don’t think forbearance is bad, just clearly not equally applied. Solid evidence of a anti-cannabis bias from state and county regulators.

If only they regulated timber and ag so aggressively!! No money or land to seize and line their pockeys with.
Drive out 299, you can see to the south multiple new timber ops that are literally scraping off the side of the mountain. Thatll make for some serious silting of the river this winter. CDF does NOT even check to see if thp rules are being followed. Timber companies spray herbicides that are mixed with diesel fuel all over the forests and you bet that shit runs off into our waterways.

I guess if youre big money you dont have to follow the same rules as someone working the land at 1/100ththe size&destruction.
Just like if we all stopped driving polluting emission vehicles tomoro it would barely make a difference compared to one pollunting factory.
F*ck the rich.
Strike tomorrow!!!!!
Give them a taste of OUR power which is to not let them earn anything by having no employees show up.
There are way more of us than them. Theres no time to waste your childrens lives literally depend on it. We are at war only we’re not fighting back. See thru the smoke&mirrors&fears. Show up&speak out. Soon you wont be able to if things dont change, youll be dead or slowly dying in pain like the ocean and all its inhabitants are right now. Theyve lued to you about the climate shift; its waaayyy worse situation, we passed the point if no return over 10 years ago, as some folks who work in atmospheric climatology at JPL told me years ago. Thats why trumps kept the climate scientists quiet, they work with armed guards watching them, for real.

Yep, if you have connections to the Supervisors, you can run fans and generators all night, cover whole neighborhoods in plastic, irrigate with surface water all summer long and grow in the winter without registering with Metrc. Who cares about the effect on your neighbors? Screw the Mattole and the fish. Papa Rex needs his weed money!

I know, and Eric Sklar in Napa Valley and his big green house.. there is no room to put any Cannabis into Napa, unless they expand into the hills, and Oak lands.. The Russian Water shed is already tapped out.. but, now they want to introduce cannabis to the region? Hah. They can’t even keep the winneries in check, they bulldoze Creeks And cut ancient oaks with impunity pretty much.. and you don’t see convoys. Pretty much it’s a court battle and the county settles, often in favor of the wineries.. And it’s often the smaller wineries that get screwed..!

Yes- That destruction down by Laytonville was epic, record- breaking stuff. And the biggest fine ever? So what- it was nothing to the owner except a small pay-to-play fee. They did not pull his winery permit or make it so he could never get one so….he won. I have a feeling these grow permits are being treated the same way- the agencies want the money and maybe will fine for violations but really have no teeth and use “environmental protection” mostly as a cover for their revenue stream. Disgusting.

Exactly, it will probably be simular story here, the ‘legal’ state sanctioned growers will expand their permits, empty Creeks, run big generators at all hours, not cover the deps, set up new Ghouses, and do all the sins they blame the Original farmers for, then probably just be slapped on the wrist or maybe finned, but allowed to operate, often much to the upset of thier neighbors… who will then not be able to stop them because now.. they operate with “impunity” All while terrorizing smaller well meaning Original Families that have been here for ages! . And now.. Eric Sklar, and Napa Growers want to expand into the last little bit of Oak Savana’s with big Canna grow lots, while implementing and enforcing policies that are restrictive and over kill here.. What a monster that has been created!

Better yet, vote out Estelle and Rex – the busts and abatements continue with or without State help. Rex and Estelle are the ones who have turned on their constituents in favor of the carpetbagging megagrowers. Rex and Estelle are the reason my homestead and many others have become uninhabitable. Rex and Estelle are the reason my life has become pure daily hell. Rex and Estelle are the ones who have declared war on the rural residents of this county. Even without Gavin’s help, Rex and Estelle are bound and determined to forced an entire swath of Humboldt’s population into homelessness and poverty ….. (I write this as I sit in my bedroom, drinking coffee and listening to the roar of the fans and generators at the “permitted” industrial drug factory next door, an operation that is promoted by Rex as a model of environmental responsibility – no surprise, his son is financially involved in this operation.)
