This is a press release from the City of Arcata:

Arcata, CA – The City of Arcata recently applied to renew Arcata’s Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) status from the League of American Bicyclists.

As part of the BFC review process, the League is seeking feedback from the community to help gain a better understanding of local bicyclists perspectives and experiences of bicycling in Arcata.

Arcata residents, bicyclists from Humboldt County and bicycle advocates who have visited Arcata are all welcome to share their experiences by taking a short survey.

Feedback collected will help the League and the City better understand current bicycling conditions and potential areas for improvement.

The survey will be open for public input through Sunday, March 24 and can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/app_BFC_SP19.

How about a survey as it relates to “The Arcata Bicycle Boulevard”. Was the intended goal achieved?

Put productive plankton ponds in sight of bike paths so riders can see ducks, birds and all life attracted to healthy plankton and gain experience in not poisoning environment.

I think Arcata should have a marsh where people can walk and ride a bike.
Would that do?
