Yes but is there still a camphost still down there at needle rock and is anyone taking care of them.
Usal Road is usually close during the winter time key lock
Two different areas Davey, 20+ miles apart…both closed now. I’m sure accommodations have been made for the Needle Rock visitor center. Both rough roads and yes, Usal is closed in Winter and often blown out.
We ride usal most Winters super fun place sure there’s some pretty big pools this year though haven’t been out there this season they close it so the big trucks don’t make a mud mud bog out of it just the usual seasonal closing
Is there still a camphost down at needle rock?
usal road uh oh! our last way out when the poop hits the fan, lol
The Needle Rock Visitor Center willcontinue to be staffed. Yes Hosts are well cared for and happy.
Anyone have any idea when briceland will be re-opened? What’s the distance from the slide to needle rock. Could one feasibly start a hike from the road closure?
Spoke with the Park’s folks. Said you could conceivably hike from the road closure to the visitor center and that it was “a couple of miles” above it. They have had a couple volunteers do it to check on the place.
There was no estimate on when the road would be re-opened. She said they hoped it would be done this summer.
They said the road to Usal campground is open and that its the “wild west” down there. Not sure exactly what that means 🙂
