Anyone know about the 101 slide status? Caltrans says one lane out. At the usual Piercy.
According to QuickMap http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/ and the CHP site there is nothing on 101 near Piercy other than an accident off the road.
That’s you kym. Kicking ass
no plows in Kettenpom Zenia area, about 8″ on road
There were two spin outs on by school road. The road looked wet cause the light for one moment, then the next it was all hail on the ground. Just drive cautiously and not in a hurry and you shall be fine today.
🕯Thank you Kym for keeping us informed and updated. 👍🏾
Wow.. thunder, lightning, and snow!
Highway 1 at the Garcia River, in Mendocino County, is open as of 4:50AM call from Cal Trans.
Bombed
Anyone been through the cove road since noon could you comment how much snows still there many thx!
Tried to go to Gville from the Cove just a bit after 1 p.m., followed snow plow out, so county is plowing. Temp was 34°. Snowing pretty heavy , sticking/icy at top of hill (King Peak & SC Rd). 4wd/awd/chains. Would not attempt in 2wd. We turned back around as conditions were iffy for our vehicle. Snowing just above General Store on way down. Deceiving as it is just breezy at our house down the hill.
