These devices mark a significant upgrade, extending radio coverage to areas previously unreachable, thereby mitigating safety risks for deputies and ensuring seamless communication with dispatch.

The implementation of these radios, made possible through funding from Measure R, signifies a crucial investment in public safety infrastructure. By enabling deputies to maintain clear and reliable communication even in remote or challenging terrain, the Sheriff’s Office anticipates improved response times and heightened operational effectiveness during critical incidents.

As the Sheriff’s Office gears up for heightened activity during the holiday period, these advancements will aid officers patrolling the remote areas of the county.

Bit less than half that for new. Chances are these are used as they were prime urban radios previously. Excellent choice for a rural town.
