Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office Boosts Communication Capability with New Radios
Ahead of Independence Day celebrations, the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office has unveiled its latest enhancement in communication technology: the acquisition of Motorola APX 8000 all-band P25 portable radios. These devices mark a significant upgrade, extending radio coverage to areas previously unreachable, thereby mitigating safety risks for deputies and ensuring seamless communication with dispatch.
The implementation of these radios, made possible through funding from Measure R, signifies a crucial investment in public safety infrastructure. Bit less than half that for new. Chances are these are used as they were prime urban radios previously. Excellent choice for a rural town.
