Caltrans aims to rehabilitate 45 existing drainage systems and remediate fish passage barriers, among other goals. Construction is expected to begin by 2027.You can read more about the project here.

Hey Louie, look at the bag money in this one—heh–heh, and we’ve until 2027 to milk this cow. Remember when the private sector was where you went for the big bucks? Not any more–heh—heh—heh.
Too bad they won’t put a trail in while they’re at it; it’d be amazing to be able to ride or walk next to the Ave. without having to dodge semis and MUVs.
