There is a stop light at that intersection, now waiting to see who did what to cause this incident.

It would be such a nicer town if 101 didn’t go through the middle of it.

The old bypass plan would have done just that, cutting Eureka in two, which many cities are now removing them, or planing to remove them.

2,
thanks.

That would help.

Wouldn’t cost much. Worth a try.

Hope everybody is ok.

In Eureka we have a Marina Way. But it does not go very far or to anywhere other than dead ends at the bay.

That is one expensive bypass. Up into Cutten, through the McKay tract, over several 400 foot gorges, through Ryan’s slough… Wouldn’t a highway through Table Bluff and an elevated bridge between the two Samoa Penensulea be more effiecient? That’s my dream.

” a highway through Table Bluff and an elevated bridge between the two Samoa Penensulea ”
This is the idea that was being proposed when I first came into Humboldt a long time ago. The land accusation costs would be lower because less home would have to be purchased. The City leaders at that time said it would turn Eureka into a ghost-town.

This looks like a plausible& safer drive tho what would that do to our economy as it avoids the business area. Don’t need to become a ghost town- like Willits. We’re having enough of that already! But it could work, lots of open space there, kinda scenic too! ?

No pedestrian was pinned between two vehicles, however someone (not sure if driver that had been ejected from van or a pedestrian) was in a very tight spot stuck under right front bumber of van near license plate and the curb of the sidewalk..I was the 4th vehicle involved

WTF?! Did we finally reach the lowest common denominator as it comes to people left to travel the roads?
Both cars and peoples.
